Let me clarify this for you IAA, NCCU didn't win the MEAC, despite their record, because they lost to Howard. So Howard is the MEAC representative to the Celebration bowl. If Howard would have lost to Morgan State yesterday, since NCCU did win, they would have ended up winning the MEAC and then wouldn't get an at large. MEAC vs SWAC is still a bowl game, NCCU just didn't win the MEAC so they will take an at large. My projection for the field is more like this (and I think YSU makes it in):

Well, it's good if we win by a few, but honestly we need other help Even then. Luckily some.of that is happening. Furman lost (doesn't directly affect us but lowers the view of the entire southern conference) then Western Carolina lost, knocking themselves out of playoffs and greatly helping ysu. They were likely going to be in over ysu

Unfortunately, I am thinking YSU is not that great right now odds wise for making playoffs. On paper it is somewhat between 60-70% odds, but they still need some help this weekend. If UNI wins consider playoffs gone.

jcrum is right, Neel is wrong. NDSU needs to beat UNI in order for the penguins to have any hope of making playoffs.

So rest easy guinpen, you can root against the Panthers this weekend.

Ironically, despite my initial reaction, the penguins are still in playoff contention with a win based on a lot of the games needed to go our way going our way yesterday. It is a highly likely situation that ysu is in with a win on Saturday... so I would play Mitch. He has the best odds of delivering the win for the playoff push

Looks like I was wrong after all. Based on the way games turned out yesterday, YSU has a really good shot at making the playoffs still.... just needs to beat Murray State this weekend.
