Not sure if his size is acceptable, don’t know for sure, but Sherwood from Fitch is excellent

Also think Shannon would be a 4 year stud, but he signed for. Baseball at UCF

Brungard will not be a QB in college

I’m in the let Crenshaw hopefully develop camp.

On an un related note…….do the new NIL rules apply to our division?

Instead of giving coaches cars, maybe a local car dealer could dangle an Escalade or whatever the hot new ride is to a stud QB recruit?

Just almost joking

Where is Mickey Monus when you need him?

Tailgating was cool.

Huge student section has me pumped.  Hope they keep showing up

Nice win but didnt need to be that close.  Lots of mistakes but hey, it’s the opener against a great offense.

Love McLaughlin and QB shows promise OL and DL we’ll see.  They need to play better in the conference.

Postgame at 34 West was great.  Check it out

To put this into perspective, this kid already can throw the shot put three meters farther than the distance that won this year's indoor Horizon League meet, accomplished by his future teammate at YSU.

Is the college shot heavier than high school?  Excuse me if this is a dumb question

Hope you guys know what you’re talking about    I watched all the YouTube videos on the recruits that were mentioned and I have to say rather underwhelming

OL. Much better.  Watched on tv so not the best way to watch an OL.....but they were ok.  After first two games I thought they would be a disaster.

It’s heartening

I like Phillips’ sideline demeanor with the players.  Though he’s gonna lose 10 lbs a game  never stops moving 😄

Well, HLecter returns!  And since his son was a quality offensive lineman for YSU, his evaluation is very meaningful....and depressing.

Thank you!

I don’t wAnt to point out particular players so as a unit.  They are pretty bad.  They get in their sets way too slowly....feet are bad.  That being said those are techniques that can be improved on with coaching...so do it

This is by far the worst offensive line in our DI history. They are incapable of opening holes for our backs and pa$$ block so poorly that our quarterbacks have no chance to throw downfield. Unfortunately, that line is the one component of a football team for which there is no quick fix. It will take at least three years of recruiting and development. This is Bo's legacy after his five year tenure.

You got it.......

I am not football savvy enough to know if it is a case where the talent is not there or they just need more playing time together. At this point you could make a case for each.

Having all those newbies on the O-line at the same time has to be a major challenge  for the players and the coaches.

Pick the best player for each position and let them get game time together. Treat the spring season as an extended spring game and get ready for the fall.

It’s serious lack of talent on the OL

Kid has a history of under-performing.  Who else can kick?  Make the change immediately.  Although our margin for error to make the playoffs took a mortal hit today.

That performance was horrible.

Hey guys

Haven't been on here in forever.  I have been to the lot and games though

Where is that ball-buster that was on here last time I was?  Can't remember his name.  I am old, still somewhat cool, but old.

My brother at Boardman said Wes Thompson is committing to YSU.

Yes, he will be a walk-on.

I follow Boardman Wrestling (grandson)  Wes Thompson joined for the first time this year and has been very impressive for a first year guy.  Really athletic, really strong and a somewhat cut body for a 275 pounder.  Legs are huge (think Earl Campbell huge), good motor in football.  Saw him play football a couple games --  I made comment after watching him that if he were 6' 3" or 6' 4" he would be recruited at MAC level or just above.   If YSU still uses Nose Tackle he would be perfect fit eventually.

One further comment --  Bo CAN recruit, put me on his side.

2nd further comment --  YSU needs to get the damn kick-offs into the end zone!  Hope the new kid can do it.  That is so important.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Cardale to YSU?
« on: November 22, 2015, 10:19:30 AM »
I sort of "adopted" Glenville a few years ago as a high school team that I would love to support.  It was actually after they beat a very very very strong Fitch team in the playoffs, when the Fitch kicker unaccountably defied his coach's order to kick out of bounds at the very end of the first half and instead kicked the ball to Raymond Small who promptly returned it for a TD.  Fitch had a 14 point lead at the time and the gift TD paved the way for a big Glenville comeback.  But I digress.

During my years involved with them I have made a few acquaintances that I keep in touch with.

My "Ville boys told me last night  do not be at all surprised to see the transfer of 12 Gauge to YSU.  He has had enough of the situation at OSU and wants to get in a full season somewhere before trotting off to glory in the NFL.

With the Tress and Pelini ties to OSU, this could very well happen.  I welcome it.  Would be great to see my friends Junebug and Ray-Ray in the tailgate lot.
