I'll be first --- Bo is now going to recruit thugs ?  Every thing I read says this kid didn't seek out YSU, Bo sought this kid who didn't even play last season. Win at all costs ?

Recruit kids who want to play football regardless of their past issues.  Life is a marathon, not a sprint and we all make mistakes...its called privileges of youth...so get over it...and get off the board!

Holy sh@t. We spent 1.3 million on basketball and dropped wrestling??!! For what?  Losing season after season!!  Bring back wrestling and give the program 1/3 of that budget and you'll see a winning program!  Fire Slocum and hire a wrestling coach!!  Recruit local wrestlers and people will come to the matches. What a joke and travesty!

Malik Leonard won't see the field. Hopper at linebacker. Feet are slow. Hope we get better recruits than this kid.

The only time a basketball court looks good is when it is covered with wrestling mats...BRING BACK WRESTLING!!!  ...what the hell...it can't do as bad as basketball!!! Western PA and Northeast Ohio (Cleveland) are hotbeds for wrestling!!

Let's see if my son were a star basketball player in the 1970's and 80's I would want him to play for one of the best in the country at the time...Bob Knight...tough..no nonsense, work hard, tell it like it is, and if my son were not good enough then that's the way it is...and if my son were a star football player I would want him to play for a guy like Bo Pelini, tell it like it is, in your face, get it done...we are busy raising pansies in this country who can't handle any adversity or someone telling them are no good at something or need to work harder in order to play.  Some of these kids don't have any resiliency anymore and he will build that!!

I think his first stop should be Hubbard High School and talk to those players leaving the area to Toledo, WVU, etc...has to give it a try.

Would be awesome!  Really good wrestling in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania areas to recruit from! Probably better than football recruiting actually. $$$ is the key. Need a benefactor to get it going and look at Title IX. I know my brother is talking about starting a NCWA club team there. It may be a start.

Maybe all the Mooney fans will now realize that there is another team that plays in town and will come to games on Saturdays to support one of their own.

Listen. We all know why he came back home. Pressure. Word is that he and his wife had no social life. After games they went straight home. Here he and his wife can be seen in public and proud of the fact they are from the YO. All he had to do is win at a level He thinks he can win at. Make a ton of money from Nebraska and live a good life here. Big time football is not what it is cracked up to be. 9-3 at Nebraska!! 9-3 here and he is a winner!!

Go Guins!!

My source tells me that this is Strollo's hire...Tress is out of picture.  They are going to give Pelini time to see what happens at Pitt and if Les Miles takes the Michigan job he may go there with him. It will be Strollo's to win big or screw up.  More or less...Strollo is on the line.  May not be until the end of the month before we here something.  Hood is still available but he may have Vanderbilt D - Coordinator lined up so he needs to know soon.  They brought some other people in today...Okie State asst. coach who has ties back here with his wife....
