Bottom line is this team should not be 8-13 in conference play after a National title run in 2016

https://www.inforum.com/bison-media-zone/mens-sports/football/4752459-McFeely-Pelini-is-blunt-as-always-but-what-else-can-he-say This should have been a trap game and much closer game for the Bison, considering our win last week and their hard fought contest only having to go on the road and face a Pelini squad that historically plays them close. Instead it looked like they never lost their 25 seniors from a year ago and were the home team inside the Fargo dome. On the bright side of things our next two opponents are very bad. Western beat South Dakota yesterday and South Dakota shut out Indiana St earlier in the year. It will be interesting to see how this team responds on the road

First time posting since Bo's two year contract extension with good reason. Fully expect the penguins to pick up their first conference win today. A loss would rank right up there with the Butler loss in my eyes, but on a much lower scale. Our chances of winning another conference game after this is slim to none. Worst coaching and discipline I have ever seen from a penguin squad..But hey it's what the higher up wanted..Of course Bo was the best and only option!!

I did not think that Bricillo was a bad coach at ...quite the opposite. His issues did not start until Bo got here and the clash of offensive styles began. This along with the lack of recruiting on the O-line. Under Wolf, Bricillo had us 2-deep (less injuries) almost every game.
Bingo!!

I do think Bo is one heck of a defensive coach probably best in the business. He also deeply cares about his players and the life after football aspect for them. Unfortunately this is only a small fraction of what it takes to be a successful head coach these days. My problem is his loyalty with his assistants, puts to much faith in what they are doing and really doesn't hold them accountable..zero organization in my opinion with the staff working together as one. He has brought in some good transfers during his time, but probably one to many and it continues to hurt the chemistry of the team. How about the players that are recruited here by Bo out of high school? Let's get them developed when all is lost. The way the quarterback situation has been handled the last few years is a perfect example of what I mean. Bottom line here is when you continue to have losing seasons and fail to make the playoffs it's extremely hard to recruit the players you need. The selling points for the recruits of going to a great university with great facilities means very little..Its all about the success of the programs these days

Did Bo sign a contract yet?

Bo and the coaching staff would love to get a quality backup quarterback from the big 10 or FBS level to come here. Just look at how many MVC teams have gone this path since Bo has been here and have torched our defenses. A few days ago we offered a senior quarterback from the state of Tennessee. I found this very surprising because of the Mark Waid commitment..unless that player is being looked at another position..I still feel uncomfortable about the quarterback situation going forward

It doesn't matter who the head coach is going forward because some of our assistants are just that bad. We lack the players offensively to have a good year in 2019..It will be ugly in conference play..Hopefully we can go 2-1 in our cupcake non conference schedule

CJ Charleston, 5-11, 170 RB from Gilmour Academy is signed. 2,500 yards, 51 touchdowns this past year.
C.J. is a fine player and a good get for the Guins. I don't think he was heavily recruited as other top running backs in the state because of his size, plus he came from a Division 5 school. Reminds me of a Ruiz just needs to get in the weighroom. Had offers from Brown, Dayton, Notre dame college and was offered last year by YSU I believe. Would have been nice to see YSU extend an offer to Sr. Gilmour LB Jack Kosar..really good player at 6"3 220 and very strong..He is committed to Brown not sure if he has signed yet and is the nephew of Bernie Kosar..only he is much faster!!

There was a video on line of that kid power cleaning like 325 pounds just blew my mind. I don't think he was selected to the all star game by way of politics. Some kids have know desire to play in college or can't even come close to making the grade. This athlete probably fell into that category

Final four for FCS championship..Maine, Eastern Washington, ND State, SD State. The Bison and Jackrabbits will face off in the semifinals

I hope the staff watched all the championship games. We should start recruiting the sophomore from Orrville High School Marquel Parks. Probably don't stand a chance with him, but wouldn't hurt to try
