A lot of chatter on zipnation.org about this game, and for the most part they are excited. Some are worried while others think the zits will blow YSU out by 50.

.....I hate/despise Akron. The feeling has never gone away after all these years. In a somewhat odd way I take pride in that fact.  ;D

Any new news on the progress on the east end press box?

Lots of work being done but this weather puts things on hold for a bit. Still on track to be done by summer.

Thank you for the update, it's much appreciated.

His fiancé got a job with a law firm here in Youngstown and with Holgersen leaving, he wants to come back home to be with her. Makes sense all around. Nice get for Bo and staff.

I watched this young man at Hubbard blocking for Scott, very dedicated and focused. Happy to see him back home in a YSU uniform. There was a Jones starting for Hubbard as a freshman on defense this year, I wonder if they are brothers. The younger one was very good for only being a freshman....you hearing me Bo?

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: 2019 YSU FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

I'd love to see a William & Mary or a Lehigh on the schedule, or even an Ivy with a 2 year home/away contract.

I am so tired of the OOC garbage schedule Strollo forces us to watch year after year after year after year.....

Thank you for the info and your quick response. It will totally change the appearance of the Ice Castle.

Now that the season is over, any word when the east end press box will get started? Went past today and the shanty is still up. They have 1.5 million already pledged for it.

Let people protest. What, all 10 of them are really gonna make a difference ? Nobody goes to the games anyway lol.
http://www.ysusports.com/sports/fball/2017-18/releases/ticket-package In a effort to get more people in the stands our athletic department has come out with a conference ticket package full of goodies..including bobblehead dolls of Moss and Rivers ..They should let everyone in free for the C.C. St. game that wants to go that doesn't have a ticket.
Do the loyal season ticket holders get any of these goodies?

I remember reading about this exact thing happening with the Columbus Blue Jackets. They were giving away all kinds of good stuff until the season ticket holders started complaining that they were the loyal ones and got zero. YSU takes us season ticket holders for granted with not even a kind "thank you".

Got my season ticket bill in the mail a couple of days ago. I see ticket prices went up for the season by $10 from last year. This year $110 vs. last year at $100 per ticket.

Not complaining, they might as well cash in on last season's success. It's still a bargain at that price, which they should market that very fact.

I haven't been to a men's basketball game since they put up the new scoreboard. I will be there next year though, and I'm very much looking forward to it.

Last time I watched a men's basketball game at Beeghly they still had the old scoreboard. I don't know how long they have had the new one, but as soon as Jerry is gone I'll start attending some games again. There's just no excitement in that building with only a hand full of people there.

I'm telling you, if you offered the job to Rick McFadden he would take it.

Ties to this area obviously being from Struthers. He's been the recruiting coordinator for Akron for many years, a great assistant under Dambrot and a consistent 20+ win and NCAA tournament contender. His wife played basketball at YSU.

It all makes sense.... But Strollo and Co. will screw it up somehow I'm sure.

I know someone on the inside of the Akron basketball program and he said McFadden is begging for the YSU job. Hopefully it'll be his pretty soon.
