Something that I thought I would bring up is the extra practice time and the effect on the younger players. This is a hidden benefit going into next year. We basically have at least 1/2 of a season of practices and only two months away from spring ball.

Did anyone notice that when we went under center with a FB that the OL had more leverage and we moved the ball way better? I think we should abandon about 95% of the sissified spread and smash teams with A Gap power plays and play action. They had no answer for those plays. Watch the lime play on the QB sneaks etc. We get more yard when we play under center vs giving the ball to a guy that is 5 yards deep in the backfield. I think we are better off. Handing the ball off in a traditional I-formation. We moved the ball far more effectively and it opened up play action passes that Ricky can hit.

I have been reading a lot from Trib Today and I really like the in depth coverage they are doing on YSU. There are several articles on WVU and they aren't as superficial as taking information from a press conference because there is some speculation in the articles that makes them interesting.

Once again the offense failed to live up to their end of the deal. Four 3 and outs with -2yards. Same pattern against any good defense. But actually it was worse because they really didn't do anything outside of Jodi Webbs big play in the 3rd.
Sickening. As bad as our punter is, and as bad as the special teams played, we still had a chance as long as the offense lives up to their end of the deal and once again they did not.

I see NDSU, ISUr, SDSU as locks.
UNI will win out and get in if they beat SIU and Misery State.
If we beat NDSU and iSUb is our OOC schedule strong to get us in as the 5th MVFC team?
