I think I have a pretty good idea on how this game will go... I am both a Pitt fan and YSU fan.  I will be cheering for YSU!  USC Max Browne will start at QB for Pitt.  He was sortof a bust at USC although was the #1 rated qb coming out of HS.  He is still getting used to the offense at Pitt.  However, Pitt has two FANTASTIC wr's in Quadre Henderson and Jester Weah.  They will cause our defense big problems.  Henderson was the best returner in college football last year... they will run several jet sweeps with him trying to get him loose.  Pitt also has several good rb's including the kid from Austintown (although he has fallen a bit on the depth chart).  Pitts Defense is in a total rebuild mode!  The secondary is poor and their best db is suspended!  Expect a relatively high scoring game!  (AGAIN).

I must be late to the party but, I just saw that Trent Hosick is listed as a safety.   Is it because his shoulder won't let him throw anymore?  Is he actually practicing at safety or just another body back there at practice.  Since he transferred,  he always has seemed like a good kid.  Go Guins!

I think you are correct that Trent Hosick is done:(  Shame, seemed like a good kid.  Hope he has a great and successful life.  Hope we do get Colton McFadden but... TBH, his leg seems like a true big program leg.  Surprised he didn't have any big time offers.  Who is the 6'5" receiver?

Doing my part.  Bringing about 20 people to the game that were not at the Samford game:)  Sent out a facebook message and have set up a mini reunion of sorts in the tailgate lot.  Looking forward to seeing you all at the Ice Castle.  We will be the group in the tailgate lot playing the YSU fight song!  Come say hello!

I have a question for you all who live in the Valley.  What is attendance like on Friday nights for the High School games in comparison to what it was like 20 years ago?  I was a student at YSU from 1990-1996.  I watched with the others in close to sellout crowds at Stambaugh and attended several of the National Championship games.  I now live in the Pittsburgh area and have noticed that the appetite for high school football over here has diminished in the past 20 years.  Pitt often times only draws 25-30k for games... and that is a pretty good Power 5 team.   It seems like people are much more willing to stay home, watch on their computers, get updates. and stay warm.  IMO technology and the advancement of information has made it much easier to stay home.  Thoughts?  BTW-  I was there last night!  #goguins

I really liked the Hosick interview!  Nice to hear a kid talk about using the time to heal mentally, physically, and spiritually.  Seems like a very good kid.  Hope he comes back next year and is able to help the team somehow.  As for Samford, I will be there with my wife and two little ones.  Going to cheer loudly and help support our home field advantage.  #goguins

It really is this simple and we all know it.  Win 2 out of our last 3 and we are 100% in the playoffs.   Lose 2 out of 3 and then the OOC discussion is legit!

I am sitting here watching North Dakota State go toe to toe with Iowa.  Is there any chance that they could get votes for the top 25 of the Big Boys?  Has any 1-AA school ever cracked the top 25?
