YSU Penguin Athletics / WOW the irony
« on: March 05, 2020, 07:59:41 AM »
Can't believe how the world of YSU sports has become so upside down!?

I believe it's a great thing that Track, Bowling, Baseball, WBB and even MBB (hasn't had an above .500 record since I was in diapers) are doing well. Football the $ sport and YSU's bread and butter has suffered so bad the last 19 years  :-X

Let's hope this is contagious and Football makes a come back!  fb

GoooooooGuins!!

YSU Penguin Athletics / Food for thought for the haters!
« on: February 07, 2020, 03:41:05 PM »
Hmmm, The MVFC's been feasting on YSU since the Guins joined it.

Wolford and big bad Bo,, really stunk it up.

A few say Wolford is the best coach: The numbers don't add up,,

In his tenure (5 years) 18-22 in the MVFC.

Bo was 18-22 (5 years)

Heacock was 35-30 (9 years) with 1 outright conference championship (06)

So since throwing the MVFC numbers around as a coaching measuring stick by the numbers Heacock was YSU's best coach lately and he did it with less $$, facilities and support.

The New Coach's bar isn't set to high to average 3.6 games (win) a year in the MVFC like Bo and Wolf did fb

WOW! it is finally here the MVFC games and to start it off on the road in the big gym of horrors known as the UNI dome.

YSU needs this one! UNI is good but has flaws like we do so it will come down to game management.

GooooooooooooGuins!

YSU Penguin Athletics / Bobby Morris
« on: September 16, 2019, 09:00:53 AM »
OK there is two weeks to break this down.

For the folks on here who like to go off of what happened in the past:

1. RMU put a huge scare into Dayton. 34-31

2. Dayton beat ISU (b).

3. ISU (b) better than YSU by the polls and pre-season experts.

4. Bobby Morris for the upset?!?!

Nice performance going 0-4 last night.

Watching those games YSU should get 4 win's there. The goofers suck so I don't need to hear B1G team BS.

Figures YSU don't have MO State on the schedule :o

New topic to stop the doom and gloom of losing "two" NFL caliber DE's to the NFL  :o

Maybe a YSU vs. Nebraska show down before Bo leaves or retires  ;D

YSU Penguin Athletics / How healthy will the Guins be?
« on: December 22, 2016, 11:05:27 AM »
I know 20 days seems like a long time BUT! Does anybody (inside information) know "IF" YSU will be close to 100%? I know dumb question but it will take some of the whining off of ticket gate  ::)

Knees and ankles seem good after a lay off, but can be reinjured in just one quick turn  ???

YSU Penguin Athletics / YSU fans are quitters!
« on: October 19, 2015, 09:18:20 AM »
Funny how we accuse the team of quitting and such. Now we hear fans don't want to show up for game because the chips are down  ???

The season is not lost,, 8-3 will get the Guins into the playoff's. It's a huge task realing off 5 wins in a row!

Loss to #25 Pitt

Loss to #4 ISU(r)

Loss to #7 SDSU

As of right now it apprears the team to beat in the MVFC is WIU!!?? NDSU looks human, SIU not great, ISU(b) not a stellar team, and MO State (Moe, Larry and Curly U).

Don't give up,,, Never give up (Jimmy V)  :D
