YSU Penguin Athletics / Everyone else is playing....
« on: September 17, 2020, 06:09:28 AM »
Everyone else is playing.  High School football, Pro football, now most FBS programs except the Pac12 and that Mac. One thing in common with those schools is the liberal part of it. Kent state, for example, is a liberal arts mecca with Marxists running all over the place.

So why not let the pussies stay home and let's resume the season?  All we need is the NEC and Pioneer leagues to play to get the FCS championship back in play.

This is stupid.

Now the NCAA has come out with the guidelines for the spring playoffs which appears to be only 16 teams for spring ball. Fall practice to resume Sept 22.

Statistically the pandemic/ epidemic is over. It is now at outbreak category.  Covid season is over. The deaths being reported on the news are legacy deaths from slow reporting states. By the way, when you lay the survivorship curve over the  reported covid-19 deaths you will find that 50k people have died as a direct result of covid-19 not 200k. That means 30% of reported deaths are caused directly by covid-19. The remaining 70% had comorbidities and includes age 83 and older. 34% of the 70% died of other causes but had covid-19 when they died (being shot, car accident, etc).

You can't beat the survivorship curve.  Just can't do it. This is not reported on because there is a strategy to keep the economy suppressed due to the fact that it's an election year and the libtards are out of their f***ing minds.

No football season is what you will get in the future if you keep voting for liberals that want to control everything, including the Saturday religion of football.

YSU Penguin Athletics / 2020 Football Season
« on: May 22, 2020, 07:38:37 AM »
Well I haven't been on here really since I posted about the high levels of mental retardation around the Corona virus.  To the dipsh** koolaid drinking liberal that challenged me-My observations have "aged" well.

Pennsylvania has more covid deaths over age 100 than age 45, more deaths over 95 than 60, and more deaths over 85 than 80.

As I stated earlier, this disease is being handled incorrectly in most areas other than Florida. The elderly have to be protected.  The economy is now in shambles by the decisions of hapless politicians listening to the liberal moral agents in the media and in academia.  The economic impact will cost more lives than the virus if it stays this way for much longer.  Interestingly, these same academic people that created their modeled guidelines did not consider the economic fallout and debt that our future generations will have to pay for as a result of their great advice. This alpha risk error is on par with the costs of going into Iraq when no weapons of ma$$ destruction existed there.  Hmmm.

Anyway, for those above 40 years of age, this could be something that interests you. https://www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-21211/v1  They've found a link between the cytokine storm and Vitamin D3. The cytokine storm is the body's reaction to the virus that kills people with covid19 and the old Spanish flu for that matter. The study finds that it is not not only a correlation but shows causation at a .05 level of significance.  Basically for those of you who do not understand the statistics, mortality from covid19 and case rates of covid19 show causation on D3 levels.  If you are below 30 nmol/L you are screwed and cases are high. If you are above 63 nmol/L you are better off and if at 80.....well practically 0 death rate and cases.

If you aren't on a supplement of D3 living in NE Ohio you are probably low but don't just run out and take it because you can overdose on D3 if you get over 100 nmol/L in your blood serum.  If you are an aging male, well, you probably need more than a female the same age.  If you are white and spend time in doors, you can probably take 5000 international units three to five days a week for a few months and be fine in Ohio.  If you are a person of color you may need more like 5000 units 7 days. D3 is a fat soluble vitamin that is also known as the sunlight vitamin. Fat soluble means it stores in your fat.  If you lose weight expect stored D3 in fat to be released increasing your blood serum level.  Your body also converts cholesterol into D3 but as you age the conversion efficiency is lower.  Skin pigmentation slows the conversion rate. That means if you are black you have better resistance to skin cancer but will have lower D3 levels as compared to a lighter skin person with the same amount of sun exposure...same with other races (it is not a race thing but a ecposure/pigmentation ratio thing).

This applies to anyone with higher skin pigmentation vs lower and may explain why the death rates among Blacks and Latinos is higher.  It may so explain why the death rates are so much higher in the North East.  The Vienna Arsenal was built in NE Ohio during WW2 because the cloud cover there is so constant (something like 333 days per year) they knew Spy planes wouldn't be able to find it as easily.  My point is that Florida and Georgia are not seeing the same death rates as NY and NE Ohio-they get more sun too.  It could simply be related to D3 levels plus other comorbidity factors.

Bottom line is see your doctor take your supplements demand the season is played and go to the games.  The average age of death from this virus on the USA is something like 75.  The average mortality rate in the US is around 74  down from somewhere around 82 due to the stupid heroin epidemic plaguing the area and nation as well (keep telling yourself we don't need borders).

YSU has announced that they will resume normal cla$$es in the fall and it is a good move.  Now we have to demand football.

The liberal media wants an economic collapse because they want Trump out of office and socialism where the predetermined academic elites make all the calls because they know better.  Power and control is all they care about and I am sick of it.  If you know how to interpret statistics this study shows a lot of variation but clear causation and the logic behind it makes sense.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but as I see the lack of journalistic curiosity and omission of relevant, & significant information so I am beginning to believe there may be one.  Some of the moral subjects on this board are incapable of independent thought and believe everything fed to them by liberal arts major journalists with an activist cause, void of critical thinking skills, and armed with IQs running around 70.  What does that say about those who believe them?

In new guidance, the CDC estimates that about a third of coronavirus infections are asymptomatic and 0.4% of those with COVID-19 will die.  That's on par with the H1N1 flu almost exactly which hit the country in 2009-2010.

The 2020 season should be played as it has always been.  Keep the elderly protected until vaccinations are available.  The entire thing is a scam.

The response to the virus outbreak is so ridiculous it is maddening. Let's cancel all college sports and cla$$es.
let's see, 80% of people have minor symptoms.  Corona is a common cold virus.  The remaining 20% may require some treatment but not hospitalization.  The elderly are at risk and will likely require it. the average age of death is 80 so they need to keep those people away.

The virus is not expected to overrun the healthcare system unless some of the retards abuse it.

WTF is this world coming to?
Buy more toilet paper ******* morons..

YSU Penguin Athletics / Fire D'Alesio

Someone please explain to me how the worst defensive back in school history (possibly MVFV history) gets a job as a defensive backs coach? that TD where they threw it to the TE was vintage D'Alesio.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Most Telling Stat
« on: October 12, 2019, 09:34:46 PM »
We gave up 22 unanswered points from the 7:22 mark of Q3 before scoring again......and our scores were gritty, low probability plays.

Bottom line is we don't have the depth the corn-shucker teams have. The 6-7 min mark of Q3 is when most FCS teams lose ground against FBS teams due to scholarship numbers. However, this is rarely the case for many of the midwestern states whose largest schools are playing at the FCS level. They take FBS full scholarship power 5 teams to the wire. I just don't know if we have that kind of depth. This is the reason why we cannot make mistakes.....because we cannot afford them because we can't overcome them against good teams.

YSU Penguin Athletics / What the hell is up with this board?
« on: July 10, 2019, 01:11:24 AM »
I am working on an MBA and have been absent for about 3 years.  I finish in June of next year and then all hell is going to break loose.  What the is up with this board?  There is no new information on the only sport that matters (football) and it is sad.  This thing is turning into the Vindicator....dying on the vine.  How much interest would be there if articles were written and you had to pay $0.50 to read it? I talking about 50 cents.

YSU Penguin Athletics / College Football Hall of Fame Atlanta
« on: April 28, 2019, 10:15:47 AM »
Recently had a chance to visit the college football hall of fame in Atlanta.  It is very well done. When you walk in there you get a badge and register your email address and your school.  Then as you go to certain displays the display recognizes the badge and it shows highlights and history of your school.  I think some schools send in memorabilia, especially with things pertaining to their most memorable games, championships, or something that makes their school stand out.  James Madison had a small display for example, although they have minimal tradition.  However, with all of the championships and tradition as well as our unique coaching history and coaches produced, we have nothing there except for an electronic display regarding Tressel.  A lot of people visit this place.

I had YSU gear on and when I walked in the door.  The people working there are college football junkies.  They immediately noticed Youngstown State they were very interested in my perspective.  They relayed info to other people working on different floors pf the building they came over and stopped me and started conversation.  They all seemed really impressed with the coaching history and all of the prominent coaches with connections.  They were telling me things I already knew but it was impressive that they knew so much detail.

I think it would be good for us to send something regarding coaching and coaching trees, championships, the comeback win over Villanova and FAMU etc..over to them.  The Bison even had an ESPN display and an interactive game day experience where you get to pick the winner etc.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Bad play calling

why do you throw a 30 yard pa$$ into a 30 mph wind with two high safeties? Dumb play call and bad throw cost us points.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Season is over
« on: September 01, 2018, 06:49:52 PM »
I say play the younger kids and get the QB's ready for next year.  If you are going to keep your unqualified coaching staff and train them on the fans dime, go ahead and get it out of the way.  This game was an abortion.  I have never seen a team play that poorly in my lifetime and I have seen some bad games and bad teams.  We aren't going anywhere this year and we will finish near the bottom.  I did not expect this type of struggle with this team.  We were outcoached and outplayed.  We are inept.

This is college football not HS football.  How many chances do you get to make them when they count?

D'Alisio's defense looked like it did when he was playing under Wolford.  What qualifies him? We looked inept.

YSU Penguin Athletics / YSU Football Media Coverage
« on: August 18, 2018, 11:25:05 PM »
The Trib has left Vindy in the dust when it comes to coverage of anything YSU.  Since Vindy lost Scalzo to the Canton Supository we haven't had good coverage from them.  Not sure who Puskas works for anymore but there just isn't enough from Vindy.  What is up with that Vindy? Indiana State has better coverage and they aren't really a football school.  I don't give a crap about HS football and the Uncle Rico's (here is the reference for those that don't know what I'm talking about https://youtu.be/xL-VX3WbA9U) that live in Youngstown are getting too old to sit and watch the HS games. It is time that YSU gets the coverage it deserves.  There should be 6 small articles per day or two more involved ones.  There is plenty to write about, especially with the conference being as good as it is, the state of the program, players, and campus facilities, as well as a storied program and coaches present at YSU.  This is just unacceptable anymore.

It is ridiculous that the coverage from the newspaper residing in the county seat doesn't hold a candle to the coverage from a newspaper that is further away.
