I am so thrilled that the people here in Nebraska are just now finally admitting that firing Pelini was the wrong move.  I've said this the whole time since it happened.  People here were saying Pelini was too much of a hot head and this new coach is what Nebraska needed.  Far from it.....Pelini had passion for the game, and NU's new coach is just another nice guy that obviously can't coach after todays debacle.  YSU is lucky to have Pelini and I'll be following your program here on out.  WE MISS BO  !!!!!!!

I am glad we have Bo too.  As long as none of the events off the field don't raise their head like when he was at Nebraska.  He wasn't pushed out at Nebraska solely because of wins/loses.

What you need to understand and do son research on is the NU athletic director that transferred from University of Miami.  That guy is a worthless piece of sh** 💩.  Guy has a track record of disasters.

He seems to be a Wisconisn guy, and that he became the AD at Miami after the NCAA investigation and issues with the football and basketball teams.   What other stuff happened there?  I would love to give my roommate some crap....

Nothing bad happened at Miami under Eichorst's time there. He wasn't there very long. Was not there during the trash which launched the NCAA investigation and was not there when Golden was hired.

Bo has coached in the NFL, SEC, Big 12, and Big 10. I really doubt that with his experience he is going to have issues figuring out the MVC

he had issues stopping RMU from running the ball. you left out the part where he got FIRED from all those jobs as well

What? Pelini didn't get fired FROM ALL THOSE JOBS. He's been fired once and that happened last December, right?

Boy, does BP sound like he memorized the “Coaches Book of Clichés”
He didn't give one bit if information in that whole presser that I couldn't have provided.

Welcome to Husker Nation. Unless JT gets hold of him and manages a fix, you can expect this to be endlessly repeated.

Question, is Avery Moss not starting at DE? If so, do we know why?

It is not my job to carry the water for Ron Brown. But I do know one thing. YSU just got an excellent coach and he deserves respect for his nearly 30 years of service to his young charges. Pretty sure he'll be a good coach for YSU.

Ameer Abdullah is a practicing Muslim and the youngest of a large Muslim family. He had zero problem with Ron Brown and neither does his family. Ameer is a great admirer of Brown and has said so many times.

Does anyone think that in all these years Brown has never coached a gay player? Atheists? Anything other than a cross section of the general population? Of course he has and done so without a single issue arising. And yet, because he's an "out there" Christian, he can be singled out and thought unqualified for a position at a public institution? That his record can be dismissed as irrelevant?

Who's the bigot in these conversations?

YSU Penguin Athletics / Ron Brown hired by Pelini?

Pelini has apparently hired the guy who coached Ameer Abdullah and Rex Burkhead. Lincoln newspaper story...

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: Avery Moss
« on: January 22, 2015, 01:31:54 AM »
Moss went to a university residence hall store and pulled his junk out and left it exposed to a female student employee.... Twice.... 4 hours apart. He pleaded no contest ( meaning he didn't challenge the  facts the police presented) and was found guilty. Fined $500. Ordered to stay out of residence halls. Violated that order. Many did not think he expressed any remorse over either situation  and the University came down on him.  The question is -- what character will YSU tolerate   on the team. Will the AD tolerate this ? What will Tressel tolerate ?  Community will find out about this and there will be reactions...................... simple questions. Not judging , just openly wondering
Husker fan here. This^^^ is essentially correct. A few points...

- 95% of Husker fans would take this kid back in a heartbeat. Very good football player. Decent guy.
- The original infraction was a violation of the law and of university policy. The legal issues were settled appropriately and the policy issues played out over more than a year and ultimately settled via a Title IX ruling.
- He spent his year of probation keeping clean, taking care of himself and staying in shape. He was given multiple assurances that his chances of reinstatement were very good.
- The probation was caused solely by his violation of the order to stay off campus. That order was temporary and set to expire. Moss got the expiration date wrong. That part is very clear.
- At the end of the probation, the new Title IX Coordinator gave zero consideration to past promises and 100% consideration to the letter of the law. Avery's world crumbled.

Very happy to see Avery landing on his feet at YSU and I wish him well.
