Coach sounded very positive.  Not sure if he has an alternative but it's year 5 for Phillips and there is no room for excuses as there was when he took over for Pelini.   I'm concerned about all the guys on defense that transferred and most when to a higher conference which leads to ask did the transfer portal make up for those defenders that left ?

I hope I'm wrong but I think this team will have a rough year.  A lot of youth so it's going to be a process.

) has committed to YSU for football.

Sims had more than 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior for Girard last season.

DJ was one of my favorite Penguins despite only being in Youngstown only one season.  He brought it every game and looked like he was always a happy warrior while doing the work.    I'm going to make sure to watch.

Nice interview with Coach Faulkner, thanks for sharing.  I was surprised he did not say anything about Beeghly Center being renovated and how this will effect future recruiting.

Found it interesting that one of the interviewers implied that Jason Nelson was the big get  in the portal while the other guy was intriqued  by Ty Harper.  Coached mentioned that Zorgvol was very gifted and needed playing reps which of all the guys to comment on was a surprise .   He also said that the recruitment of Siem Uijtendaal was the most drawn out.  I think he was implying that Siem has a lot of other offers.
