I have to believe that Coach Phillips is coaching for his job today. A bad loss to a bad team and he has to be fired even with contract extension. I have to believe that only the diehards like me will be at the game today.

I know head coach signed a long-term contract, but we cannot go in next year with Phillips as head coach!

Hire Duguesne head coach or other division 2 head coach.

We should let 2nd string QB let play some of the next 2 games. We need to find a long yardage passing game. Right now, Brungard is a great running QB, but we can't win in this league without being able to complete passes downfield. Though I am not sure wide receivers' talent is there.

Yes, it was the right call if we are 7 and 2. We are playing for next year; I wanted to see Brungard in a 4th down situation.

I doubt YSU would have won, but the turning point of the game was when YSU punted from Villanova 35-yard line. You cannot coach scared. Ask Ryan Day.

I have been saying the same thing for years, but nothing seems to change on a large scale. When are schools like Akron and Kent going to move to 1AA or another future lower division? I have been saying for years that Akron and Kent cannot keep spending the amount they do on football and losing money, but they do. When and what will be the tipping point for major change?

Would not Northern Iowa get in over YSU at 5-3(6-5) even if they lose? They beat us and would finish ahead of us in the conference. If YSU wins and ND and NDS lose, YSU would finishes tied for 4th with Illinois State and YSU beat them. Not sure committee would take 4 top teams in conference, but I believe this is our best chance.

Against Murray State YSU should play Brungard at QB. We need to find out if he is the QB for next year or do we have to go the transfer portal. I know one game will not answer the question, but it is a start. I know it is unfair to Davidson and the other seniors might not like it, but it should be done. Thoughts?

YSU should have had signs for parking lots, that were open to student because of classes on Thursday but not open to football fans. The normal lot I park in was not open to fans on Thursday. YSU listed these lots on website for football parking but were not available. I also saw a group of Valpo fans complaining about this and signs to event parking that were confusing.
