what about making Jamie Bryant defensive coordinator. He has done a good job with special teams and he used to be a defensive coordinator before coming here.

Coach Slocum needs to get MAD(as in nutz). He needs to go bobby knight on everyone. Start throwin chairs arounds, beat some people up. Do like jerry tarkanian- instead of chewing on a towel he could take off his shoes and chew pn them.
He needs to rule by fear and intimidation.. most importantly strike fear into the hearts of the opponent. Lets face it this team meeds every advantage it can get. Call him "mad dog jerry". He is so bad coach wolf wont even talk trash to him.
Maybe this behavior will in turn fire up the crowds and light a fire under their butts. So instead of knittin doilies the fans maybe will start doing what fans are supposed to do at a sporting event- you know stand up, make noise, clap heaven forbid.
It kills me that some of these fans get upset when people stand up during a game. If you dont want people stamding up them go to the movies instead of a game.
It reminds me of the time a guy walked into a local bar and tried to order a hot dog. The bartender looked at him and said "son, we dont have hot dogs here. If you want a hot dog go to a baseball game"

happy, I think you and I are talking about the same game years ago. I never even saw a high school game played on turf that bad.
Why does YSU make football their number one sport? if YSU was in the fbs I could understand. But at the fcs level no one cares except for a small number of local fans. Much better off making basketball number one sport and put the bulk of their resources there. at least in basketball they have a chance to compete with everyone on the biggest stage.

The condition of the field shows the lack of respect this level of football gets. There was another fcs title game years ago where the turf was in even worse condition. Just another reason why ysu needs to move to the fbs. Not much to gain at fcs level.

Slocum himself said his team "sucks" after the umass game.
JJ should volunteer to drive the bus for jerry and his kids. Those checks JJ is writing for ysu sports for $4.36 is really making a difference- slocum bought a new tie to go with the suit he bought from wal mart
