McClendon left for UCONN and Nardo is looking at D2 head coaching jobs.

Hopefully we can get some good coordinators / S&C coach replacements.

After last season, there was no way the d-line coach and the strength coach could have possibly survived. And quite often "pursuing other opportunities" means getting fired. I can't definitively state that this is the case here.

Deonte Gibson new D line coach. Good pickup by DP. Former Northwestern star and NFL experience.

with the transition occurring with the Miami Dolphins... it would be cool if DP could find a role for Curt Kuntz (former Struthers HC). Having that NFL experience and being able to connect some dots at the next level could be helpful with recruits/transfers. Bring him home!

Kuntz is a heck of a coach.

Ashton Youboty has left to become the DB coach at Purdue. Plenty of open spots still left to fill...

Ashton did a great job for us with the D backs. The players bought in to his coaching and it showed on the field. Glad for Ashton, but sorry for us. I think he was great connecting with the players and getting results on the field. A special gift.

John Haneline has been announced as the new LB coach. He was previously the defensive run coord. & D-Line coach at Western Illinois.

Seems to somewhat of a local guy. NW Ohio.

Somebody please explain how this is a good hire. Western Illinois had one of the worst defenses in the country for the past several years.

Agree on the questionable hire. Haneline played at Bowling Green, Phllips coached there, maybe he knew him from BG. If Brown is the new D coordinator, he too played at BG.

I could not agree more. Very much a classic YSU defensive guy. Moving up awfully fast. This will be his 3rd stop as a DC, moving up each time.

John Peterson has left to join Fickell's staff at UC with an off field position.
Also, YSU has hired Christian Dukes as DB coach. Was previously at Tiffin.

Dukes might help with with recruiting down around Cincy like he went to HS down there and was a 3 star recruit played at Toledo. I wonder if Heacock recruited him when he was there. Looks like a go getter and a good hire to me.

Josh Sinagoga, who was previously the WR coach has moved to QB coach and Armon Binns, former Cincinnati Bearcat WR has been hired as WR coach. He was at Cincy as a QC under Fickell.

Seems like we are continuously downgrading. Looks like personality is becoming more important than ability. Building ourselves into a solid DII program?
