YSU hosts NKU at 130pm. We are a slight favorite. They are in 4th place and we are in 3rd. With the upcoming road trip we cannot lose this one. Go Penguins!!!
-
6.5-7.5 point favorite. I'm a bit surprised it's that high. Would have thought 4.5-5.5.
With Oakland and Green Bay winning yesterday, this is pretty much a must win for YSU to stay in the race for the championship especially considering YSU already lost to NKU and have already been swept by Oakland.
With Wright St playing IUPUI, a loss would put YSU in a 3-way tie for 3rd. A win also for YSU starts to give them some separation from other teams in the battle for the top 4 seeds.
I think YSU takes care of business today after giving the one away to NKU on the road.

NKU has knocked down 5 of their 6 3-point attempts & YSU 0-7. YSU trails 20-12 at the 12 min mark
-
Parking is horrible. Need more spots along with more attendants
.. wow was this parking thing botched.
-
Maybe the stands should have been open. The thinking of YSU is mind blowing.
-
Gotta cover the 3's better.

Parking is an absolute disaster when there's a good crowd. They definitely need to do something about it. I arrived at 12:40 and all the streets were tied up. They need more attendants & open other lots.
It's always a cluster at the gates too. There's no room to handle crowds.

YSU really tightened up their defense after the 12 minute media timeout. After giving up 20 the first 8 mins they only gave up 11 for the final 12 mins.
YSU is doing a nice job at the FT line at 11-11 while NKU is just 8-14. Honestly the only reason NKU is in the game is those 5 early 3s while YSU is just 3-15.
NKU is always doing a better job on the boards & are getting all the 50-50 balls & balls that go out of bounds.
The officials are really calling the game right. Was hard to get into the flow of the game with so many fouls called.

I can hardly wait to read all the things wrong with this effort today! This was a great job against a crediable league opponet this group is making me proud to be a 'guin! .
-
Hugh win 82-52 YSU.

Great defense today. Farmer,Rush,Lovelace made Warrick's day miserable and add in Zorgval clogging up the middle. Ziggy has been been the man and Burns has killed it on the glass.
They said there was 6k for attendance. With the bleachers pushed in on the upper deck that kind of surprises me.
Can't forget to give the coaching staff props for having the team ready to play today. Hopefully they can get it going a little better from three going forward. Really liking Farmer's mid-range game.
-
I don’t think we had 6k attendees today. I heard coach said that in the post game interview.
6k is almost capacity. Coach probably saw the packed stand and didn’t realize one side was pushed in.
Great crowd.

Now three straight road games with Wright on Thursday 9pm on ESPN U.
-
Who knows about the crowd size and how they actually calculate it it blows my mind to see that discrepancy in crowds from game to game. I'll take it though however they count it .
-
WIth upper bleachers folded up cap6icity couldn't be more than 4800-5000. That being said, that would be our biggest crowd in a while.
-
I did not see a 30-point blowout coming over NKU! Need to take care of Wright State Thursday night! Think about all our losses. Michigan Oakland twice NKU, Louisiana and Dayton! Could have on won every game except Michigan!
Three blowout wins in a row! I'm not sure anyone wants to play YSU right now!

4099 vs Oklahoma St in NIT with stands filled last year and 6001 today with them pushed in?

Numbers can be whatever you want them to be. Key is if there is any advantage to over or under report.
It was a nice crowd either way.

I agree nice crowd but they need to put other side up and create room for everyone. Where I sat it was like a shoe horn. Better parking can be expected for rest of season rt? That was a debacle. More competent ticket takers and more areas open. Even if someone has to take tickets and cash for parking standing outside. Simple solution or open up the other side of the main parking lot with someone giving out the parking pass. It seemed like University didn't expect a crowd like that I think it caught them off guard. Where were the programs??
-
They had programs in the main lobby, but they weren't laying out and I had to ask.
The whole parking, ticket scenario has annoyed me ever since YSU has started getting crowds the last few years. It's so chaotic with all the doors and who is selling tickets and which ones accept credit cards, and there's no room to stand and then they are trying to scan tickets. It takes forever to get people through.
I can't believe the city is happy about the bottlenecks with traffic. People that weren't going to the game were getting frustrated and almost causing accidents trying to get through.
That was definitely the biggest crowd of the year, but the whole counting attendance is a mystery. Coach seemed upset last year and early this year on the numbers. Almost sounds like the 6001 figure was just thrown out there. There's no way there were 2672 at the Wright State game and 6001 on Sunday. There were more people but not over 3300 more!
YSU has done a much better job of promoting the events, promotions, getting kids there, etc. but they have to make things more streamlined or people aren't going to want to come back.
They obviously have no intentions of lowering the other grandstands. If they didn't do it for the Oklahoma St. game last year or the Wright State game or Sunday they aren't going to. They are using that area for pre and post game stuff.
-
The stands I believe were opened up for the Oklahoma state game. I believe so.

You're right. I just went back and looked at my pics. And I also looked at the attendance number and it was 4099. There were a lot more people there that night than the 6001 on Sunday
-
Don't understand the attendance process what counts and what doesn't. Just have no clue what it is.

Hopefully the remodel will address the future of lodges and a party place for fans. That is needed badly.
