The women beat Point Park 87-41 this afternoon - and had 16 steals! They are a lot of fun to watch and have multiple players who can contribute. Looking forward to conference play!
-
Fort Wayne has had a rough time on the road this year, hope that continues.
-
Fort Wayne's only wins were against DIII Manchester and UIC, probably the second weakest team in the league. I just hope that we are not overlooking this team as we prepare for CSU.

11-1 has a nice ring to it! 64-41

Big game Saturday!

Two big games Saturday!

Cleveland State lost to a below average Robert Morris team. They are being exposed after their string of home non-conference wins against weak opponents. Contain their high scoring guard, and we will, and CSU does not really have an answer.
Since Milwaukee inexplicably also lost to Oakland, this means that if we do our job on New Years Day we will have a two game lead in the standings just six games into the league schedule. Of course, that goes away if the league eventually removes the Covid forfeits from IUPUI, as they probably should. IUPUI has the most talent in the Horizon League.

Big win this afternoon for the women and sit at the top in the Horizon League. Cleveland State was, frankly, disgraceful. If you haven't checked the women out - you're missing out! They deserve our support!

Excellent win, especially considering that Olson had perhaps the worst game of her career. CSU is indeed a disgrace to college basketball. That coach has assembled a team that consists of one talented scorer and a bunch of thugs. Competent officials would have called twice the number of fouls on that team.
Game turned when Wagner came off the bench and nailed five threes in the second quarter. And Aulbach did her usual fine job against that CSU scorer.

I was really surprized by the bunch of thugs that Cleveland State brought to Beegley. Really a bad representation of CSU. And the refs were lost and CSU just poured on the agressive questionable play. But we prevailed with a few great shooters, especially Lexi Wagner and Lilly. I feel for Chelsey Olsen who has been such a strong player for us, but today was not her day. She will be back.

CSU's head coach is a clown. Always a good day to beat them. These ladies are LEGIT!
-
I will state this because we won and thus I have no need to make any excuses. The League office should review that game and decide if those officials belong here. And the League office should communicate with the CSU coach and tell him that if his players ever again commit physical assaults (that is exactly what two incidents were) he and those players will be suspended.
