YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: Track

I would assume the facilities at a top SEC school would be superior to what we offer for track.

Maybe a better NIL opportunity?

Whatever the reason I wish her luck.

Cohill plays with emotion. Good and bad with that (highlighted by that late game T).

After game pushing/shoving happened because “someone” said Davis didn’t deserve the POY award (according to Davis on Twitter). He got his feelings hurt (probably a little frustration about not breaking the record or taking another L from Cohill).

I think we can all agree throwing things from or, in their case, back into the stands is a bad look. Thankfully no players or students were hurt.

However, we’re moving on to NKU on Monday. Hopefully they’ll work on limiting second chance pts and getting a body on the rebounders.

The Duquesne field house was remodeled in 2018 and the project cost 45 million.
We’re they able to get financial support from PNC, UMPC and others to pay for any of the renovations?

Haven’t been able to find a specific financing plan besides “corporate investments, private donations, and a state grant.”

Safe to assume - UPMC and other Duquesne athletic sponsors helped tremendously.

YSU is 188 in KenPom rankings. They’re the third team in the Horizon League behind Purdue-Fort Wayne at 156 and Northern Kentucky at 180. All other Horizon league teams are higher than 200.

The Penguins did quite well for a mid major in the transfer portal and the team is still meshing/building cohesion and flow. As long as that happens (and that’s still an if) - arrow would be pointed up for us when we enter Horizon League play.

If you’re want to hear from Coach Calhoun talk about YSU hoops and the upcoming season/incoming transfer class - he’ll be on Twitter tonight between 7-9 with the folks at Mid-Major Madness.

The Basketball Clas-sic replaced the College Inisder tournament and is run by a College Insider and their coaches social change group, Erascism eracism4ever.com.

Bracket was delayed and expected today (rumor on Twitter they did not get 32 teams to accept invitations - closer to half that).
