Funny how each of us sees things differently.  Actually I see one of Ruiz's strengths is not fumbling.  He lost 2 fumbles last season on 265 carries or .7%  To compare; Jody Webb lost fumbles on fully 3% of his carries.
Still wish we had recruited a bigger RB.  Watched the HUDL video on the Erie recruit Bryce Boyd

This was so familiar I went back and watched Ruiz’s senior video.  Frankly change the names and you’d never know the difference.

Seems like a pretty fair assessment of the Quins.  If, and it's a big IF, Bo can find somebody, anybody, to cover enemy receivers, it could/should be very interesting.

"Martin Ruin is probably better than Dunn."
Maybe, but in the proper situation, give me the extra 20 lbs. One of our weaknesses was closing out games and a big power back late in the game can really help with that!  I like Jodie Webb too, but he is even smaller than Ruiz.  But in any case, doesn't look promising.

I assumed the lack of chatter was probably going to indicate a no, but I could hope for a while.
Some guys would rather sit on the bench and see teammates win than play at a lower level and help them win.  In the end, I want a guy that wants to play!

ELPENGUIN, the Bucks have obviously soured on him.  I read it was because he doesn't want to play special teams, and I certainly have no insight into that.  I suspect it is probably Zeke that is the bigger issue for Dunn, as he is CLEARLY a Sunday player.  213 might not be a power back in the Big 10, but it will get the job done at YSU.  Hope we get him.  Same with DE from Nebraska.  LOTS of talk on recruits, and I'm one that says give'em a chance, but in all honesty I don't see much help this year except maybe DB's since we are SO BAD back there.  Anyway, if you or anyone sees anything on Dunn, keep up posted.

Anything new on the Bri'onte Dunn story?  Could really use a power back.  I see another little tailback from Erie I think.  Love these guys but we have 3 now 4 already.  Need a power guy!

Lets_Talk,
Sorry, I apparently misunderstood the term "inclusive" to mean all were included, but unfortunately I was completely wrong.  Apparetly it includes only those who agree with you!  Now that I understand your status as Supreme Being, I personally glad you are far far away from here!
Welcome Ron Brown, hope you can coach!

“strive to foster an appreciation of, and respect for, differences among the human race; and celebrate the diversity that enriches the University and the world."
Doesn't that include homophobes and bigots too?
Are you in favor of allowing a student organization to set up an Easter scene on campus?  If not, how is that different that the ongoing religious symbolism of Muslims walking around campus daily in clearly religious identifies clothing?

“Whatever a young man feels called to express, I hope we will help him do it in a supportive environment. Everybody is important, and maturity is learning to find and appreciate those differences in others.”"...

What about homophobes?  Don't we want to welcome them?  Appreciate their contributions?  Welcome their input?  If we want to be “all-inclusive” for only those who agree with us isn’t exactly being inclusive, now is it?

This whole thing has me at a loss.  Ron Brown should be on a short leash because??  I understand he is outspoken, but let's be honest, Muslims certainly wear their religious beliefs "on their sleeve."  Literally, you can see it from a 1/2 mile away.  And isn't free speech part of what we believe and teach at YSU?
If we are going to be "all inclusive" and everybody's opinion is valuable and in fact needed.  How do we justify our bias against bigots?  If Muslims are welcome, gays welcome, transgenders welcome why aren't fundamentalist Christians and bigots welcome?

Welcome The YO Show!
I'm facinated with the apparently widespread thinking that things under Wolford were so darn good??

Recruiting classes can be ranked pretty accurately after 2-3 years by wins, loses, and playoff appearances.   Let’s face facts,  Tressel fired Wolford because he wasn’t getting the job done.  ‘nuff said!
Regarding bloggers rating recruiting classes at this stage:  just plain silly.  Rivals.com who is the consensus #1 ranking service for 1A in a composite over 4 years has Michigan & Florida in the top 10 and TCU and Baylor nowhere near the top 10.  This is a crap shoot at best.  Good grief, after paying at least 3 years in college with all the tv and combines, pro days etc. they still miss on fully ½ of the NFL draftees!
My take?  We got a lot of players, many local, and it will be fun to watch them develop under this staff.

Spiderlegs, sorry, didn't mean to be overly sensitive!  Funny, but explosiveness and athleticism vs. size might be better suited for 1AA than 1A.   I remember wondering when Tressel went to Columbus, how he would do with the higher quality athletes.  He did great getting more out 2nd tier players than anybody else, but would he be able to do the same with the ***** guy?  Now I wonder if 1AA might actually be better suited for Bo than 1A?  Time will tell!

1AA, I agree with the need to be more "physical".  Coach Pelini also sees it as a depth issue.  We lost so many games during the Wolford era after leading at the 1/2, or even after 3/4 it was discouraging.  I remember the good old Tressel days, and saying to my brother, "we've got this one in good shape, we're only down 7 at the half!"  And it seemed we came back every time to win the close ones.  I'm sure my "memory" makes things better over the years, but we played for the national championship 6 times and won 4 and I thought we had the best players on the field in only one of those games!

Nothing I like better that some Spiderleg guy telling me "there is way too much discussion about size" and then proceeds to give me a lesson on each coaches philosophy regarding size.  The average height and weight of last year’s Nebraska OL was just about on a par with the Browns (and the 2014 Penguins)  so athletic ability is by far the most important element.  My original comment was directed at the comments regarding 6-4 275 players being too small and my observation that at 6-4 they would grow into 310-320 linemen.  I stand by my comments that the 6-4 275 recruit isn’t “too small”.
