Best line Strollo said was they are still getting paid to be in the league. Translation, Thank you Butler, for all that postseason money you got us.  I am not sure when our share stops from that.

It's all about getting into the tournament.  Just saying you are in a tough league means squat.  Robert Morris is in the playin game.

I keep hearing how great the Horizon league is and Valpo was a 13 Seed, while Buffalo was a 12 seed, which I think since Butler left the Horizon has become a bottom tier conference again.  The NEC  winner Was Robert Morris  Mmmmm

Bobby is a D 1 player.  Does he have some limitations yes.  But he has a target on his back every night.

As usual Pally hater is full of crap. Since Tressel started Petes pride a new marketing campaign enrollment for new students is projected at 5800 new fresh. Normal Fall enrollment is like 2800.  The last crash day almost 1500 students showed up in crappy weather almost 500 more than the largest turnout.  Tressel has created new excitement about YSU and I have seen countless pics in Facebook where he meets all the attendees and greets each off them.  He loves YSU and he gives 110% to get us back on track.  So keep scratching your head Pally hater because the , "Winds of change" are happening and JT, Strollo and Pellini are a winning combination!!!

Money does translate into better recruiting we are last in dollars spent every year. Valpo spent 2m in 2013 and they are a consistent winner.  To hope and wish you can get a Kevin Mackey type coach is never happening. Upgrade the spending and then in 8 to 10 years we should be a better than average team .  Or move out of this conference and compete in a league that spends the same amount of dollars. The Horizon had diminished since Butler left anyways.

UWGB spends $1,399,814/year on MBB.  Currently, they are 23-7/12-4, and seeded second in the HL tournament.

YSU spends $1,323,788/year on MBB.  That is 94.6% of what UWGB spends.  Currently, YSU is 2-14/11-20 (despite a cupcake OOC schedule) and seeded last in the HL tournament.

Can we please dispense with the budget excuses?  The reality is an inferior AD who gave a lengthy contract renewal to a D2 HC who is way over his head in D1.

Do we spend mid major money I doubt it.

He isn't going nowhere and honestly for what money we have for men's basketball he is doing a decent job.

Montana State is looking for a home and home opponent they are only paying 200k.  Travel expenses probably pretty high.

Just saw Pete Davila was hired at James Madison as a Secondary Coach.  Trent Boykin is at Akron I think and Mark Brungard is Poland High school Head Coach.  This will start the ball rolling!

Thought it would start a thread of Ex players and coaches and post where they are now!

Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah, its about wins, filling the stands and running a clean program.  I don't care what happened in the past.  I don't care what people's views are and I am not going to judge a Football coach on if he likes Miller beer or Jack Daniels whiskey!  I will judge on wins and losses and getting to the playoffs.  If he is an atheist or gas a potty mouth who cares he is a freakin football coach. Let him coach the guy has won games and I think he will win here.  I could careless if he isn't a supporter of the rainbow coalition!  lol

Tressel always gave players second chances.  I was at an event recently and he was very passionate on where and what his expectations are for the players and program.  He wants to be here.

I have changed my opinion on if he hires his brother.  The coaching fraternity is about you hire who you trust and know.  Our division lets us take chances on players that made a mistake in the past.  So why not coaches.  We are getting a high quality hire who needs to prove himself.
