YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: YSU vs. North Dakota State
« on: October 15, 2017, 01:13:40 AM »

With all the recent controversy about disrespecting the flag and national anthem, I will be curious to see if our bison friends have cleaned up their act.

Seriously, after the sh** going on at YSU, you throw this idiotic comment out there?
#braindead

Care to be more specific? Because I seriously have no idea what you are referring to.

After the Bison's RJ Urzendowski made an ESPN-worthy touchdown catch early in the second quarter—one hand, left-handed on a bullet throw to the corner of the end zone by Easton Stick—a Youngstown State fan threw a bowl of chili on the NDSU receiver as he was jogging back to the bench.

Pretty sure the petition most likely contributed to todays events.  I'm sure the father was upset that the actions of his son will follow him the rest of his life.
"goodnews"??? this is amazingly negative and 100% speculative.  You're sure???  What it the world makes your sure of what Richmond was thinking.  This judge wasn't Mi'lik's judge so how could you be sure?
That petition was ill conceived and very damaging to one Richmond, but there is no evidence it affected the father.

The news is reporting that the father thought the judge had thrown out the wrongful death lawsuit.  Apparently he did not understand it was just a motion to dismiss.  He was reportedly very pissed off about that.  He was also very mad about the petition and his son not getting to play.  Cumulative factors = snapped.

Yes its from 2014.  You do understand what a decade is right?

Yes but you said "Lipps on Friday....."

It was a quote from the posted article.  I suppose I should have used quotation marks.

He is a current student at YSU. YSU has the policy for EEO and non-discrimination (see university policy below)
Youngstown State University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, disability, age, religion or veteran/military status in its programs or activities.

I read this three times and I don't see "previous violent criminal offenses" listed as one of the things YSU can't "discriminate" on.  If there is something illegal or against university policy for baring this kid from playing on the team, I haven't quite seen it yet.

The action has to be taken based on university rules and regulations rather than emotions. If he is kick off the football team for this, somebody will either issue another petition or file a law suit against the University for Race Discrimination because he (an African American) was singled out for exclusion. I would assume some of you people (who signed the original petition) would sign this one too.

As someone who signed the petition, I can assure you I won't be signing some other petition if he manages to get kicked off the team.  Suggesting as such is silly.

If you kick this kid off the team, it believe it will be discrimination, as I don't believe he has a criminal record.  He was convicted/plead guilty as a juvenile and served his time.  I assume that has been expunged from his record.  I do know his is NOT a registered sex offender based on age and current age that has expired.
If you don’t have a policy against, then it is OK.  No policy against previous criminal records says it does NOT come into play.  You need a previously established, and regularly and evenly enforced a policy to avoid discrimination charges.   Even having the policy, if not enforced previously leaves you exposed to charges.
This subject needs dropped, this kid deserves our support for putting up with the Vindy hatchet job and hanging in trying to improve his life.

He actually is registered.

At the time he was sentenced, Lipps ordered Richmond to register his address every six months for the next 20 years.

Lipps on Friday reduced that requirement ordering Richmond instead to register his address with authorities once a year for the next decade.

Anybody sit in section 4 and see the Bison fan in about row 10 standing up drinking a beer right before kickoff? After the start of the game people started yelling for him and his girlfriend and /or sister to sit down because they were obstructing some people's view but instead he just turned around facing everybody behind him fanning his open arms just to taunt them. There were more Bison fans in the first or second row standing in front of some little kids who actually had to move just to watch the game.

What's up with the standing? Are they taught that on the prairie to be rude? You can tell by their attitudes they thought the game would be over by the middle of the first quarter...... ;D

13,000 open seats.  If it annoyd them that much they could have move 10 seats in any direction.

Yea that makes sense, I am sitting in my seats and because some disrespectful drunk is being a jerk, I should be the one to move.

Do you bison fans even think before you respond, just more proof that your fans are no better or worse then others. Albeit a lot more arrogant.

Ok lets break this down.

Options:
1. Move and end the problem.
2. Sit there and put up with it.
3. Kick his a$$.
4. Have him removed by security.
5. Do nothing then go on the forums and complain about it.

Which option(s) seem to be the logical one(s)?
Yet option 5 was somehow the decision that was made.

NDSU, the correct response for you would have been to apologize for the behavior of your fellow bison fan and assure us that not all bison fans are like that. That would have been smart and classy, you chose neither.

But keep posting, keep trying.

I dont apologize for other peoples behavior.  By your logic you owe me an apology for your coaches behavior.  Seriously, dont be ridiculous.

Well, it is OUR forum.  How about you practice what you preach.  You may want to start with number 1.

Ok, got it.  You have no rebuttal, so all you have to say is gtfo.
Once I hear that DavedS is able to login to BV I probably will choose option 1.
Not much intelligent discussion happening around here to stay for anyway.
DavedS is able to log in to Bisonville but is not allowed to post--if they decide to let me I will probably post sometime next year before the game with YSU and if I do post it won't be anything ignorant or derogatory towards NDSU--I've been a member of Panthernation for years and haven't posted anything offensive although a few of their posters there as well as on AGS are nothing but clownz in my estimation but all fan bases have their share of 'em,some more than others.

Did you ever get an email to reply to with the verify link?

It is my assertion that a typical bison fan would log onto another teams board and continue to mock everything
And sure a snickers sounds good.  You buying?

Can you point out the post where I mocked anyone?
I was buying, not so much anymore.
I cant reward bad behavior.

C'mon dude.  You suggest that in our stadium our fans should move. That's not mocking?!?!  You state "somehow you chose option 5."   That's not mocking?!?!  I can't believe for a minute if i go to bisonville and say anything remotely close to the things you did That i would not get killed.  Frankly, i would deserve it.  But i wouldnt do anything of the sort.  Cuz im not a bison fan.

No its not mocking, its the easiest solution to a simple problem.

With that many open seats it would be easy to move.
Security could have been summoned, but it was not.  So it must not have been that bad right?
Why didnt any YSU fan stand up to the drunk and either kick his ass or get him booted?

If the Fargodome ever had a empty seat, most would just move a few seats down to avoid the drunk.
Thats a theoretical though as we dont usually have a empty seat available.

very entertaining game, cant wait to see the meltdown bo has with 20,000 fans 5 feet from him on the sidelines next year at the fargodome.

Actually I am told that NDSU has some classy fans, I am sure they will be respectful and not be the kind of fans we have been labeled as.

I guess we will see just how classy they really are.

Please flag this as a reminder for 11/5/2016 so we can discuss.

Sounds like a plan, heck the pressure is on you guys
True.  I am not sure we can pull it off this year if we get to Frisco, but 2016 will be a very good year for NDSU.

You certainly didn't attempt to dispell it. And its on every message board you are on too.
And why do you think it is my job to debunk something said that I have no knowledge of. I guess you as well didn't think that through just like the other guy.

Hmmm...excellent question indeed.  So why then are you trying to debunk something you still know nothing of?  I am thinking...your turn!!!

I am referring, of course, to my post about the reporter.  So you find it impossible to respond about an accusation from one of your fans of which you have no knowledge, yet you have zero problems responding to mine.

Again, more of the same from a typical bison fan.

So you are lumping all NDSU fans into one group based on what again?
Try judging people as individuals for a change.
Posting blanket statements like the above is pretty sh**ty of you.
[/quote

So let me get this straight.  You have suggested that OUR fans in OUR stadium should deal with YOUR unruly fans by telling OUR fans they should move 10 seats elsewhere.  Then, you suggest, on our board, what the appropriate action YOU would take.  Then get upset that we whine about it on our board.

Sounds to me i am right.  No blanket accusations.  You are falling right in line.  But thanks!

No, you completely missed the point again.  It's kind of a trend with you.
I listed tha available options in that situation.
I suggested the option any reasonable human would take.

You need a Snicker bar bro?
