This is a classic trap game.

Coming off a big win, huge game coming up back at home... They can't look past this game, they're a top 10 team on the road and they have some impressive wins already (not Bowling Green).

okay so then then the university screwed up go guins. The screw up was trying to trump law and the NCAA. We need to have a little faith in the original judge. I refuse to believe that a siting judge would not have sentenced him to a much more harsh sentence (let it transfer to adult prison at age 18-21) if this was a more serious crime. That being said, these protesters need to realize that their carrying on is doing more to diminish Richmond's actions. I applaud the efforts to try and keep him out (of school not merely football), but it is over and the smartest thing to do is spend your efforts keeping track of him, not holding up signs and drinking coffee. I am a person who believes all criminals have no rights. Rights only belong to law abiding citizens. However, that is not the way our legal system works and it is not fair to single out one person.
People who commit a chrime have NO RIGHTS?  EVER?  And I'm a Christian, so we will have to agree to seriously disagree.

Yea that's a pretty ridiculous statement.  They do have rights, whether it be Richmond or a person that served 20 years and is out and is now an abiding citizen... They do their time, society can't continue to punish them.

Just an extra way of getting more money by selling beer. It's not going to put more butts in the seats. People need to realize the crowds will never get back to the way it was in the 90's. That was shown by attendance at the 2 home playoff games last year. Sad...

Yes, it'll never be like it was in the 90's... Much like the Indians in Cleveland.  They go to a World Series and ticket sales will still never be like it was then.

However, selling beer will increase attendance... Plus increase revenue.

JMU will be throwing their streamers at the game.  Those close to their sections are sure to be pelted with the gold and purple...any red and white streamers out there?  Just sayin...

GO GUINS

I'm all for bringing our own traditions etc... But no way will I support YSU fans throwing those fruity streamers lol.

Could be a good place to watch if you can't make it down there.

My own observation...

Wolford alienated a lot of fans.  He brought excitement at first and then continually failed to finish the seasons off, while being rude and ignorant.  Fans seemed to give up on the hope that they would ever return to what they were in the 90's, which is obviously quite lofty.

I was around in the 90's and with Heacock and then Wolf... Heacock slowly lost fans but with Wolf it expedited the process, in my opinion.  He recruited good talent, talked a big game, and failed.  Then always put blame on others.  Coaching makes a world of difference, and we're seeing it this year.

Looking to buy more tickets, anyone have the hookup for more?  We can't seem to get enough of them for our group...

Any help is welcome.  Thanks.

My friends and I bought 10 tickets yesterday and I paid for my flight already.

We'll be down there and I know alot of people that are going down.  We'll have a good size group I think.

Nick Gooden is in the Marines.  Maybe just the Army.

Another bad one, Sir Demarco Bledsoe.  Arrested for kidnapping, among other things.  In and out of jail.

I wonder how much he's getting paid...and who is footing the bill.  My first guess is way more than people will estimate, and if that guess is true, what will be the fallout?

My guess is Nebraska is footing a large % of the bill.
I hope there is money left to get great assistant coaches.
Wonder if Bo can bring his D. Coordinator from Nebraska?

I agree. I think it'll be heavily on Nebraska. If Bo really wanted to stick it to them, he can work for $10 a year if he wanted. He's gonna make the same money regardless of what YSU pays him.

That said, it would be an enormous risk for Pelini to come to Youngstown as it could damage his future marketability into another big name program.  Added to the fact that in three years the Nebraska money would run out.

This, in my opinion, is the only reason he may not come to YSU.  The risk.  If by chance, he fails, it'll look bad and could hurt him when pursuing larger jobs in the coming years.

If Bo Pelini does become the next head coach, realistically he can take next to nothing for his pay... correct?  Supposedly whatever he makes in his next job will just get supplemented and Nebraska will have to pay him less. So unless he finds a job making more money than he did in Nebraska (which will be tough to find for him), he's going to make about $150,000 per month for the next 51 months.  If YSU paid him a measly $5,000 per month, Nebraska will pay $145,000...

So money for Bo should not be an issue. He's basically working for free.

Also, how long do we think he would stay?  I would guess 3 years, and then he'll take a job at a larger program.  His buyout money will be gone by then, and his kids can go to Mooney while he's coaching here.

This is just stuff running thru my head, but correct me if I'm wrong here.  Bo can perhaps pay his assistants more considering YSU doesn't have to pay him much if at all.

Moving to FBS will never happen, and should never happen.  The money needed to make that jump is far too much and the community just fits FCS far better.

Why play football with no chance to win a national championship anyway?...  I don't get it.

This idea is simply ridiculous, I'm just going to leave it at that.  Zero chance he comes to YSU, and many OSU fans want him gone anyway because he's a bad defensive coordinator.

It's fine to be realistic, but not okay to root again the red and white. I've given so much to this university. It literally means everything to me. And the people who openly root against us and claim to be true fans. Private message me. Meet me face to face this weekend. Tell me that you're openly rooting against ysu to lose. Bet you won't! My private message inbox is open. Fire away!

I also agree that Nation's post was spot on.

I don't think anyone is really rooting against YSU at all, or maybe I'm just missing something.  Everyone here wants YSU to succeed, but I think people are getting frustrated with this coaching staff.  Wolf has always talked a big game and hasn't delivered anything except expectations he's failed to meet.  The guy is a very strong recruiter, no doubt... But lets be honest, he's horrible at coaching.

When he got here, he was this pompous guy that seemed to think that turning this program would be some easy task.  Every preseason, he's talking about his expectations.  Yet.. Every year, he's found some way to blow it.
