Wow we haven't played Dayton since 1977(that was before I was born ;D). I am glad the game is being played in Youngstown. Welcome Stadium is getting kind of old. Now if I still lived in the Dayton area I would be thinking differently

IAA-I think all of us younger generation Penguin fans were spoiled through the 90s. I still support MY school(as with many on this board I am a YSU grad). I sat in the stands through 3-8 seasons, the National Championship years, the Heacock Era. I won't even go there on the many cold games I have sat in. I can remember being in the stands when there was 4,000 people in the crowd. I do know the weather is suppose to be awesome Saturday, so there is NO excuse for people not to go. Plus they are honoring our 91 team.

Kurt is only a sophmore, so he has time to grow.

Of course I think the best QB we had since I have been alive has been: Brunguard. He was the complete YSU qb. Took care of the ball, and could manage the game. Does anyone remember the EKU playoff game.

Yeah Lucky I froze at the Samford with u and PapaGuin. I still think the Montana game was colder.

Remember that season like it was yesterday. Our run ended where it began. I also remember being at the airport to greet the team. Lucky and I were sitting on the counter. Man that placed was jammed. Of course Lucky and I went to the '94, 97', and 99' game(we would rather forget the 99' game').

What were they thinking of replacing Pete with. The Block Y. Personally I love Pete in the middle of the field. Makes us unique.

Lucky and I were actually still at YSU when the tore up the turf back in 2002. I think somewhere at the Igloo(the GuinFamily's homestead) there is a piece of the turf there.

Um also if I do make it to a YSU home game this year, and it is cold. HubbyGuin bought me a hat that is in the shape of Penguin.

IAA-all programs are clean until they get caught.

As for the violations from his days at YSU. I was at YSU when that story broke. They were reported to the NCAA, however they were discovered passed the statue of limitation, and we self imposed the penalties. Therefore the NCAA never penalized us. I think we cut scholarships for a couple yrs though.

guinpen-I am not a season ticket holder, but Papa is. I just take advantage of his tickets when he and MomGuin can't go to games. He is going to go over and purchase his season tickets. I do hope to attend some games this season.

Wick-According to Bobby Knight the only thing the media can quote accurately is silence.

It will also be interesting to see all the NCAA violations OSU gets from this. I am sure there will be seasons forfeited, scholarships losts, and probably NO bowl games. Not even thinking about the death penalty

Actually for the first time in many yrs NO one from the Guin Family went to the game. Lucky had to work, and Mom and PapaGuin didn't want to sit out in the rain. Of course I wasn't going to sit out in the rain with a 6wk old in the rain. Don't worry the baby will make his Penguin debut in 2012.
