First off. Wheary and Bryan starting at WR makes me think. What's wrong with Andrew Williams who seemed to be our best WR last yr. Is Berassa still not healthy??? I can Pace and Bellamy splitting carries until Hymes is healthy. Defensively, McKoy who just transferred onto the team a week and a half ago is starting. Must be pretty decent. Also surprised to see Boatwright at safety with Jameel Smith. Will be interesting to see who starts. Also surprised Kyle Sirl moved to DT and Eric Myers starting at DE. This depth chart surprised me..... Thoughts?

I heard DJ Moss has been nursing old injuries so some of the D line roster may be to get some guys healed up before heading into the 'fire' of the season. Can't look past any opponent, but the first two should not match up talent wise to YSU. I thought Myers was playing DT. Not surprised to see Kyle there now as he is stronger and Myers is fairly light, but I don't know anything about him. What I remember of Dayton's program is they do a lot of cut blocking and that could lead to D line injuries. LETS GO GUINS !

I'm just pleased that it looks like we finally have "depth" to put on the chart. I suspect we will be shuffling receivers in and out constantly, creating a nightmare for tired defensive backs by the second half of most games. By my count, seven wide-outs and three tight ends (Disher moved there.) McKoy did surprise me, but maybe it is about time that we got lucky with a defensive back transfer. We are not going to learn too much on Thursday, but I expect to see better special teams, a pass rush, and much fewer missed assignments on defense.

I am a little upset about Sharbaugh being at #2. Nate is very talented as well, but has just started to come into his own. Carson is a true DI talent ...no weaknesses. I think they went with Adams for pass-catching, but I have never felt that Sharbaugh was less of a receiver. Besides Sharbaugh is the senior.

We won't learn a lot through the first 3 weeks but hopefully we can sort things out and get healthy for Michigan State

After a second review; this may be a motivational depth chart more than anything.
