http://amp.thestate.com/sports/college/university-of-south-carolina/usc-football/josh-kendall-blog/article221280400.html When Eric Wolford was fired we also lost a very good recruiter for the offensive line. With the exception of Wiggins all have graduated. Bo did a nice job with bringing in Vitas to stabilize the middle, but hasn't been able to fill the voids elsewhere across the front. Congratulations to Wolford for his nomination for top assistant coach in college football

Even though this isn't the season you or the fans would have hoped for you can all lift your head up high. 2016 was a run that will never be forgotten anytime soon. U.N.I. looks like a very sound and fundamental team in all three phases of the game. What stands out to me is their victory over South Dakota State..shutting out Indiana St. When RB Keys was healthy and their victory over Illinois St. When both teams needed a win. Defensively they are right up there with N.D.S. The Bison were able to rush for 344 yards against them so the first thing we need to do is break out the tape and see how that happened.  The million dollar question is will we play like we did in Fargo or go back to our old ways? Weather on Saturday will be in our favor especially with a dome team coming to town..Go Guins!!

I think we have and continue to miss out on talent in Stark, Summit, and Medina counties in Ohio. The MAC, AMERICAN EAST, and CONFERENCE USA teams are pulling players out of there on a consistent basis (and it's only an hour from Youngstown). Talked with two different H.S. coaches yesterday from those area's, both of their underclassmen that were Junior's held offers from other schools in these conferences but were never contacted by the YSU staff as of yet

Any word on WR Zach Farrar playing in this game?

PenguinIce,

Is Farrar not playing because of his attitude or is he injured?
Bo said it was a coaches decision in his press conferences the last few weeks when ask by Dana

Let's face it the recruiting has gone down hill since we finished 6-5 a year ago after coming off the title game. Factor in the Butler loss.. fewer victories this year.. the uncertainty with Pelini's future it's only going to get worse. We are currently competing against the Pioneer, Northeast and D-2 GMAC for players on a daily basis. The sad thing is we are losing players to those schools

Just wondered who called the defense yesterday. In Bo's press conference it sounded like he might have

Check out @NDSUfootball’s Tweet: https://twitter.com/NDSUfootball/status/1058809418807042048?s=09 This is the 4th and 1 from our opening drive. Personally I think we got a bad spot, but what else is wrong with this play other then the RB missing the block?

Fire the entire coaching staff. They are high school level. Especially Crist. What qualifies him to be an OC ? Seriously.
The same thing that gives Freddie Kitchens the right to call plays for the Browns tomorrow NOTHING..Chief we all had deep concerns when Carl and Shane both left just never thought it would be this bad. Bo however felt comfortable going forward with the staff he had and promoted from within, so it's his problem as far as I'm concerned. If Carl and Shane were both here I'm comfortable to say we would be know worse then 6-3 possibly 7-2 at this point in the season

I have to give Indiana St. Some credit they picked up another conference win in overtime. Qb Boyle threw 5 touchdowns and ran for 2 they are still in the playoff hunt. Could very easily be 5-1 in conference play

Very proud of the penguins effort. I just don't understand our offensive philosophy. I realize we have problems at the tackle positions and lack some big time wide receivers. What's wrong with a blocking back in the backfield on passing plays? McAster with 8 carries and Turner with 1? Of those how many were straight ahead handoffs? 22 carries for Mays why? One play action all day and it worked..Shane Montgomery is sadly missed

We are 35 point underdogs in this game. Bison H.C. said he fully expects a 4th quarter game. That could be because of how we have played them the last few years or he is mentally trying to get his team ready. I did hear that both of their RB's have hamstring injuries and are questionable for this game. Stick could be throwing more on Saturday then normal. On defense it sounds like their starting corner is out with a knee injury. Their defense has gave up next to nothing all year in the redzone. FG's will do us know good on Saturday. Anything inside the 35 yard line we should go for it every time on 4th down

Kent St. over Bowling Green in the Mac showcase on Tuesday night. Carl Pelini falls to 0-2 as interim head coach of the Falcons

We have 3 more QBs on the roster, I say we give one of them a shot.
I agree with you Kandrase, at this point we have nothing to lose. Bottom line is we are not efficient at that position especially in the redzone. We remain the lowest scoring team in the conference, yet boost a strong run game. I have yet to figure out the logic with bringing in VG with a year of eligibility left. The younger players in turn get know development and confidence is shaken. With the exception of Nathan.. Bo recruited the three others. Bo said he is looking at other QBs and it just depends on the game plan. Maybe there is a package that could work better with Cunningham, Craycraft, or the 6"7  kid down close..I just don't know
