Great memories.  Another one is Tess’s first win over Akron.  Maybe 3K  in the stands, rain, and ricochet catch at end of game.  Sets both programs on different paths.

Why are there no official announcements of new hires?

AA: Akron should care because they have a stadium that they can’t fill or pay for.

Take the money. Win the game.  A big crowd will put a lot of pressure on Akron and Kent to rethink what they are doing and the subsidies they pay for their sports programs. It is about time universities listen to customer interest on who they schedule.

Can we keep this thread about Frisco?  We, 8, arrive late Thursday and will stay in Plano by the shops at Legacy.  Looking for recommendations from fans who have been there before.   Should we rent cars?  Do they have a good Uber system?   Any attractions we should see?   Should we tailgate inside or outside stadium? Also, has YSU announced any fan events?

EKU beat Miami of Ohio this year but lost to Indiana State at home in the playoffs.  From website: The Eastern Kentucky offense changed gears under (offensive coordinator)  Damron three years ago from a spread scheme to a power rushing attack.  They played at Robert Morris this year and at non-scholarship Moorhead last year.  They played Florida the week before the Indiana State playoff game.  They played two 1A schools this year and will do the same next year.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: Athletic Budget Questions
« on: December 05, 2014, 10:53:55 PM »
I posted these questions to get a better understanding of the economics of Division 1 athletics outside of the power 5 conferences.  I have no intention of turning this thread into YSU joining the MAC.   I heard many numbers thrown out by the YSU faculty about the money spent on sports and want to use the MAC schools for perspective.  Thanks Spiderlegs & BidDWSU for the links.   I have only had a chance to look at them briefly and the key seems to figure out what they are including in the definition of revenue.

YSU Penguin Athletics / Athletic Budget Questions
« on: December 05, 2014, 12:52:23 PM »
Does anyone know the specifics of our athletic budget and any of the MAC Schools?  How much of the budget is tuition?  Where are the MAC schools spending the extra 10-15 Million?  Anyone have details on revenue coming in and how the shortfalls are subsidized?
