The only thing we can hope for is WVU overlooking us after our loss and their win. And our team kicking it into gear after the loss. And... Even then, probably won't be that close. Hopefully I can be pleasantly surprised. Is it gonna be on any local channel? I know it will be on att sports net Pittsburgh

Last time we played WV, the game was carried live on Roots (sports channel out of Pittsburgh). I watched the game on that network in Pittsburgh.

Roots channel is now on Spectrum (Time Warner) cable TV network in Trumbull County. However, I don't know if they will carry the game this year.

The tone was set game one. We hired Pelini to change the culture and stop the melt downs that
Wolford coached teams had late in the year. We had our meltdown early lost a game we needed to get to the coveted 7-8 wins needed to make the playoffs.  Going 0-2 is going to happen and playing WV close for 2 or 3 quarters means squat. It starts at the top no more excuses.  No playoffs show Pelini the door.

Their QB is Heisman candidate they will let him play enough to put up big numbers to up his averages.  That should not take long.  Based on last week's performance that should not take more than a half.

Really felt uncomfortable when Carl and Shane both left the program around the same time, felt both added stability to the program. In some cases there's nothing wrong to promote from within but how hard did Pelini search and was this just a quick fix? After watching the Butler game there are many player personnel issues on both sides of the ball and on special teams. In some cases Butler was just more talented at certain positions. As far as Wolf man goes he was 31-26 in five seasons. Pelini is 23-16 and could end up around the .500 mark by the time it's all said and done!!

It is disturbing that they were out coached and out played by a non scholarship school.
Head coach of Butler is a guy by the name of Voris.  Overall record is 39-55.  I know in the past they have had some difficulty with D2 and non scholarship schools but they never lost.  This is not good for the program or fan interest.

No doubt.  After we played them well several years ago...they will want to show that they are for real this year and want to let Greer get his stats up...This team will have to make one hell of a turn around for me to have any faith in the coaching staff.

For anyone else like me that doesn't have att sports net, and or streams, if you want to watch the game, it will be available on Roku or apple tv.

"The stream will be available on WVUsports.com and the WVU Gameday App. Additionally, fans will be able to tune in live via Roku and Apple TV by searching for the “MountaineerTV” channel on each device.

For fans inside the viewing area, the AT&T SportsNet Channel Finder and Territory Map can be found on pittsburgh-attsn.att.com. The online stream will be blacked out inside the AT&T SportsNet viewing area."

Now... I am outside the viewing area (viewing area encompasses the entire state of WV and the Pittsburgh attsn territory which I again am not in). But, if I was, and for any of you who are and don't have attsn (streamers), then simply use a VPN and make your IP look like it's in a different part of the US. Nord VPN is great and super cheap. Got a 3 year subscription for $99

The game is on Armstrong 179 (HD) or 33.  Not sure about other suppliers.  It is the same network that carries the Pirates games.

The game is on Root (Pittsburgh) TV which is carried on Time Warren Cable (Charter/Spectrum TV) channel 85 in Trumbull County, Ohio. I believe the commentators will be from WVU (same as 2 years ago) so we will not hear too many good comments on YSU.

Hopefully, it will slow down their passing game. The way our DB played, we might need couple inches of rain.

As long as Delisio is coaching the secondary we will need feet of rain.

If I were Bo id tell the team that nobody will remember the Butler loss if you can knock of ranked West Virginia. Doubtful that that will happen but hey it’s certainly motivation.

Well they are gonna lose, but maybe not as bad as I was thinking considering the weather. Should be a very wet game... Maybe that slows down their passing attack? Definitely still a good chance for an utter blowout, and probably will happen. But I have to say the weather being what it is has me rethinking just how bad of a blowout. Every raincloud has a silver lining?

Haven't seen anything official. It's been very quiet as to what's going on with him. But I thought I saw something that said he wasn't going to be at the WVU game for sure (I think he will ultimately be fired, but I have no idea)

Our defense front put 0 pressure on their QB. He had as much time as he wanted to throw the ball. Offense had 0 yard passing and 20+ yards rushing Bad.....

Defensive game plan of no pressure on WV QB and playing a soft 2 and 3 deep zone is being used to keep the  score down and make WV earn their points. They can score 30 on a bad night.  Offensively we are a mess.  It’s almost as bad as the Heacock/Klacek era. I wonder if JT can Coach and be the Prez still.

Secondary stinks so bad.
These DBs are not good. However, with a Hiesman caliber QB having all day to throw the ball, no DB could cover the receivers for 10 seconds. So, I am not as hard on them this week as last week trying to cover non scholarship receivers and QB.
This year, they don't seems to know their assignments.... Too many open receivers running loose in the secondary.

Yes, leaving a guy wide open is not the result of all American talent it’s a mental mistake.

The safeties have no idea what they're doing. That's what happens when you are playing out of position as both of them are cornerbacks and not safeties. This team wins maybe 4 games this year.

I was going to disagree and then I remember we don’t get to play misery state this year :'(

This is what I expected
Let's have some perspective.  First, I expected 60 points to be scored.  Second, we have lost several defensive players that were key allowing us to be respectable.  We are starting a QB that has little game experience.  We will struggle in our league, but we can get better.  I believe we have one of the youngest teams in the MVFC.  This was caused by Wolford running everyone off.  The jury on Pelini's recruiting is still out.  He would have been better off maintaining vs having to fill the giant class that has carried over since Wolford.  Pelini recruits certain positions or gets key people and fills the rest in.  With the challenges left after Wolford ran off so many Heacock players, we are still filling the void.  The team will get better as the year progresses but we have a senior QB and the young kids need to grow up fast.  I am not expecting much, but we have some talent, if coached well, can perform.  However the coaching is falling on Pelini's shoulders because we have unqualified Mooney people and others filling positions that they don't belong in.  If they can be taught, fine, but this year is unlikely what we want to see.  We've already got 2 losses and a gauntlet to run the remainder of the season
Much improved over last week, but any team that is unprepared like we were will not win anything substantial.  I hope to be proven wrong, but I am older than most and my experience tells me this.

I'd feel ok so far if it weren't for Butler.... Missing 4 starters, 3 on the defensive side of the ball. Just don't have the depth on defense to make up for it. Kids playing big minutes who really shouldn't be playing. Especially at safety. We'll see as the year goes on.

Sorry Penguinpower I dont see anything that shows we are going in the right direction.  We were confused on offense and we had to call timeout continuously because of it. Our offense couldnt do anything different because it’s obvious players don’t know the plays. We are still running a lot of read plays which means we will get to see our second and third string QB’s shortly.  In my opinion we need to see what we have at the position winning 5 or 6 games with a rent a qB does nothing.  Play the kids and we win 3 or 4 so be it.  Teams will take away the deep ball from us and things will get worse offensively. Defense what defense.  No pass rush poor tackling and their wrs did whatever the wanted against a secondary full of number 8’s. ( ex player ).The ONLY reason they didn’t get 60 was we wouldn’t rush and dropped coverages to keep my in front. WV DID want ever they Wanted in that game.  Then penalties would show up as well. I guess the best kicker is the same kid.  This is a 4 win team any more shows the league is down this year.

You have to have some perspective though. This wasn’t WVU from 2 years ago or Pitt from last year, this is a ranked team in a power 5 conference with a heisman candidate QB. This WVU team probably blows out our last 3 FBS opponents.

It’s like every year, we don’t really know what we have until we get into conference play. The Western Illinois game will give us some idea.
