Four Youngstown State pitchers combined to throw a four-hit shutout in a 3-0 Penguins victory over Kent State on Wednesday evening at Eastwood Field. It was the first shutout win over Kent State since May 1, 1979.
Nice win. The team is turning the corner ...only wish it could have happened just a bit earlier in the season. Critical series again UWM this weekend.

Nice jobs guys! Sometimes you (at least I) forget there is anything beyond football. One of the impressive things about last football season was the mid-game introductions of all the other championship teams at YSU! Had to be the university's best ever showing for all sports combined.
Again, good job!

What is impressive is that, a couple of years ago, Kent State went deep into the College World Series with a very young team. Most of those players are on this team if I understand correctly.
Now come on Lady Guins!
