Jeff and Dom do great

You can also listen to Bison 1660 from 12 to 2 your time this week for good pre game, they always have opposing teams beat writers, play by play guys and coaches on

They have an app you can stream thru, little more homerish but still good to listen to

Lakebison- It seems like you guys have done a pretty good job overcoming some of the early season injuries. I seen that Deluca returned for Missouri St. but the other starting linebacker was lost in that game. How is the overall health of your team including depth?

Sitting pretty good, our 2nd and 3rd strings have got a ton of reps this year unlike last year.  Biggest name out is Greg Menard but he hasn't played a snap this year

Lakesbison, what did Eastern Washington do against your defense that made their offense so effective? I see they have Cal Poly this week and their only loss was to you guys

We did not play Poly that was UND, our in state rival 75 miles north

EWU has one of the best receivers in all college football and a very dynamic offense, they came to play  just slung it around video game style, unfortunately their D isn't as good so they couldn't stop ndsu either

The one nice thing about the game is that ISU exposed every weakness of NDSU & there are several.

Bored today waiting to watch the east west shrine game and cruising the boards....but

Wow, they really exposed us didn't they pretty sad they still lost, so guess exposing isn't enough to beat us right?  With us being so untalented etc like everyoeveryone said isu with their fbs qb should have beat us easily with 2 minutes left right?

Don't give the fans credit, but the student athletes on this team work their as### off to get to this point every year, it's not a fluke like lots of people want to think, so hate us but the at least give the kids some respect

Fyi, Dudzik our SS started and played in all 61 games of his career, ends with a 58-3 record overall, 20-0 in playoffs and 4 rings. His only 3 losses were to MVFC teams, uni, Indiana St and ysu.  If you can't respect that then your not a sports fan

YSU Penguin Athletics / Re: NDSU in a class by itself

NDSU is very good but consider that they have yet to play a road game in their playoff run.  They are very similar in that regard to Marshall, who played only one road game during the 90s (and lost that to Boise State the week before the 1994 championship.)  As the data provided by Let's Talk proves, our stats over a four year period were superior.  Consider also that, during the 90s, we defeated two #1 ranked teams on the road in the playoffs, Nevada in 1991 and Villanova in 1997.  And in two of the four national championship victories, our opponents never crossed our goal line (Marshall in 1993 and McNeese State in 1997.)

we are currently 12-1 in the playoffs with this class since 2010

2 games On the road, 2 games at neutral site 4 total road games

2010 we beat Robert Morris in the opening round, then traveled to a Montana St and blew out the Big Sky champs, following week went to Eastern Washington and lost in OT to eventual NC, since that game NDSU has won 18 straight road games, the record for this class to date is 50-7 and on a NCAA leading 22 straight wins.  not to mention 4-0 against FBS (B1G, Big 12 and MWC)

been a pretty impressive run

our guys are playing good ball right now, we have a bye week and will be 100% come Nov. 9th against the Redbirds, something we have not been since Delaware St.

I'm guessing and hoping we will be coming into Youngstown 9-0 with a 18 game win streak 16 of those on the road, with a veteran team. that since 2010 has played its best football in Nov and Dec.

should be a great game

TJBISON:

The numbern of NDSU fans that we could see in the seats had to be a
Tremendous support factor for the team. My gosh, was anyone left
back in N D?  Celebrating that win is wonderful..did it years ago in
Chatty with Coach Tressel.  That is what is known as a GOLDEN MEMORY.

There were many tht watched on TV from he tailgate lots that didn't have tickets, I'm guessing a realistic number counting men women and children only at around 16K then all the team, media etc...

It was great even better this year than last

Ill post a photo gallery if you guys like to see if you think my guess is right....I do know in the second half it was so loud when we were on D that I could not hear my buddy in the row below me

Thanks guys it was an absolute blast again this year

Waited 24 hrs to post about the game.  After reading some of what everybody said...I am as disappointed at ur fans as i am about the team.

1. Wolford came here to upgrade the program.  Yea there were good players here and yea there were players that wasnt so good. Would we have BEAT PITT with the old coach.   Hell NO!!!!.  He treated those games as a lay down.

2. So if we go on iaa assumption that this team was doing just fine,,,did the past coach beat Northern Iowa? Did the past coach coach up his players? So i say sour grapes to anybody that seems to think this proram was in good hands 4 years ago...it wasnt.

3.  We all new our D was the problem and I want to think we need to give the New D coach a little more time, he didnt recruit those kids and if we dont see improvement, they will have to go get the righ kid.

4. We got beat by a great team.  They beat us up physically for 4 qtrs and they had tremendous depth.

5.  They had this game on there mind since we beat them and then the schedule gave them a big favor by having us come back there back to back years.

We are still light years ahead of where we were 4 years ago.  I think this is a playoff team its a long season and everbody needs to believe these guys can and will get to the playoffs!

What you are saying does make sense when you read it Go, but factor in this:

1. We did not hire either of the two coordinators. We were not asked about our opinion. Wolf hired them. Did we ask for a new DC this year? Hiring a DC from Florida was clearly a mistake ...I sad it the day he was hired. We cannot give them excuses. If we are going to use that analogy, whey did we not give coach H 2 or 3 more years to install the spread? I will tell you why, because no one cared about that ...they just wanted to win. Likewise, no one cares if Wolf had to replace his DC ...we want to win.

2. We can easily make the play-off I agree. However, there will never ...and I repeat NEVER be any respect for us unless we take home the title this year ...hopefully seeing NDSU again along the way. We were not even competitive yesterday. NDSU is not even close to as good as some of you think they are. There running game is never going to hold up & Jensen is too immobile ...he is not Kurt Hess.

Please explain how you come to this conclusion?

500 is ALWAYS allotted to visitors  friday at 8am  those will be returned to public.

18,700 is capacity  350-400 standing room has been the norm.

19,053 is record vs rival south dakota state

students have a 3500!! waiting list.

18,700 is not true capacity, we have proven that even before SRO was around

NDSU has opened as a 10 point favorite.

I don't agree, considering the last few games have been decided by 8 points in total

What's the Fire Marshall's max?

Not sure, couple years ago there were 26000+ in there for an ACDC concert, not sure the rules for FB games

Ummm... A lot of the 26k+ was standing on the stadium floor where a football game is about to take place.

Obviously, I was just using it as a comparative, there will be we'll over 21,000 people n Saturday including teams, security, cheat teams, news people, etc....so I really have no clue about fire Marshall cut off

I know it's a dome and all but how's this effect the fair weather fans and the older crowd below. This was taken this morning by my buddy BisonBacker out side his office window in Fargo.

Won't affect anything, it's supposed to be sunny and in the 50's on Saturday, all that now is gone already, it was a very unusual blast this early in Oct.  but with all the fires threatening communities and the lack of moisture nobody is compaining
