YSU Penguin Athletics / Saturday's Crowd....
« on: October 17, 2013, 04:28:02 PM »
What's the over / under on the Attendance for Saturday's game..?....

8,000...?....

What are the fans going to do...wait until YSU rolls into the the ND St. game at 9-1 before they start supporting this team.....

I read a number of posts early in the season of people bashing this team...enough is enough...lets rally and enjoy this ride...this team is solid...

I think they are poised to make a run this year....they have to stay somewhat healthy....

Lets get out to the games and start supporting this team....the attendance has been laughable
this year..!!!....

it is hard to have any real rival games with all of the road games so far away....it really is ridiculous that YSU plays in the MVFC...

it is also a big dis-advantage for YSU when the team travels to the away games....the facilities at most of the other schools in the MVFC for the visiting teams are sub-par...and laughable...we treat the teams coming into YSU with more then adequate facilities as far as locker rooms..etc...

Wolf will Coach the full 5 years...and probably move on to Coach on the 1A level after that...

I can see YSU making the playoffs the next 2 years...and making a deep run...hard to believe they have not got in the past 3 years....play here....play there... and they get in...

we just beat them last year...at there place....

Watching them in the playoffs only shows me how far away we are from winning a National Championship and is disgusts me.  At this point I have learned something new....It doesn't matter if you have the best athletes becuase a football player is one that has the insticnts and football sense.  In the end you need to have football players, and great coaching and then athletes in that order.  Coaches don't have the time to teach football instincts at this level, it all starts with recruiting a real football player  They must arrive with a football I.Q. and then have great coaching to become a great team.  Then the athleticism becomes a factor where it all comes together.

We have lacked in players and coaching thus far.  Hopefully Wolford can get it figured out.  We are miles and miles away from NDSU's ability to show consistent performance and rise to every challenge that the other team provides.

what i mean by eye test is ....watch these first round games...and you will see a lot of teams that ysu would pound on a bad day...i would say ysu would be favored against at least 12 teams in this field....

lets talk...and penguin in boston....
i am just going with the eye test....plesse watch some of these first round teams and tell me what you
think...not saying leave conference because its to hard.....leave because your fans cant feasably attend any
away games...and the travel other teams have to take for there away games is considerably less across the board...

no doubt....!.....we are 3set years in and were very close last 2week years to getting in...i really
felt this year and last if they did get in they would not get walked on...and compete with anyone
in the field...this team will be better next year....
