:o Evident in the selections here that YSU lacks talent. Rivers (1ST TEAM DEFENSE) is truly an NFL look. Hopefully the next head coach will be the great recruiter you all thought we had  8)

IAA Fan:
We have had so much success with those players that we have brought in from Fork Union. I think it was Tressel that first started recruiting there. The oldest one that comes to mind was James Terry back in the early 00's ...but I also think we had some quite a ways prior to that.

YBR, I miss the days when we YSU players made up the majority of the OL and DL ...along with the backs. I do think we have two or three "Diamonds in the rough" that will be on that list beginning with next year.

mvfc penguin:
How does WR Andrew Williams only get an honorable mention when he was third in conference in Receiving Yards?
How does S Tre Moore not get anything when he was tied for the league lead in interceptions?
How does not 1 of our O-Line get nominated when they were tied with NDSU for least amount of sacks given up in conference?
How does RB Jody Webb not get an honorable mention nod when he was top 5 in the conference for TDs?

Once again YSU getting snubbed... But as Wolf said all year "this is a no-name team"
The rest of the conference thought the same thing.

Because we are the conference b****es.  We are being used.  The last time we made the playoffs as an at large was 2000.  Otherwise we made it in 2006 by winning the conference title.   Every year we are 1 win shy.  Rules have changed several times to accommodate other teams over us.  Last year it was Sam Houston State and a 3 game skid at the end.  In 2005 it was the fact we played too many d2 teams.   In 2007 we weren't selected because of how we ended the season, yet every year some other team gets in under a different set of rules.  The probability that unique conditions have existed in 2005, 2007, 2012, 2013 is close to zero.   We have been left out over the selection of other teams year after year.  Even when Tressel was coaching we were seeded way down there in the years we have won the championship.   The way I look at it is that we are held to a different standard and we cannot make it in without winning the conference.   That is what the data says.  We've only gotten in 3 times at large since we joined in 1997 and the last time we got in was Tressel's last year in the 2000 playoffs.
