Three added to Jerry Rice Watch List
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Three emerging freshmen joined the Jerry Rice Award Watch List on Tuesday.
The Rice Award, now in its fourth season, honors the top first-year player on the FCS level of college football, whether a true freshman or a redshirt freshman.
The additions to the list are Sam Houston State wide receiver Yedidiah Louis, Western Carolina linebacker Daniel Riddle and Youngstown State quarterback Hunter Wells.
The Rice Award, named for the legendary wide receiver who played in the FCS (then Division I-AA) at Mississippi Valley State, can undergo revision before the finalists are announced after the regular season.
The winner will be announced at The Sports Network FCS Awards Presentation Dec. 15 in Philadelphia.

Good for Hunter! In three of the last four seasons Youngstown has had a player on the watch. Ruiz last year, and Christian finished 4th for the award his freshman year.
