Kendrick Perry
Sydney Kings (NBL) landed 22-year old American point guard Kendrick Perry (183-79kg-92). He just graduated from Youngstown State University (NCAA). In 32 games he averaged impressive 21.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.4apg and 2.4spg last season. It was a very successful year in his career as he was selected to All-Horizon League 1st Team, NABC Division I All-District 12 1st Team and Capital One NCAA Division I Academic All-America 2nd Team.
As mentioned above Perry is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball.

Congratulations to KP. Players from the USA are typically treated well when playing in other countries. KP earned his degree, so he has his education to fall back on if basketball does not work as a career. And, living in Australia has the potential to open up a host of doors for KP down the road, not too mention being a great life education. He now gets an opportunity to continue playing basketball, get paid for playing basketball, and spend time in Australia. What a great learning experience, both on and off the court.
Australia has a solid professional league, so if KP plays well, this will give him a chance to get into the D-League, and possibly be able to hook on with an NBA team for next years Summer League. If things do not work out well in terms of basketball, he gets what is essentially an all/most expenses paid time spent in Australia.
