WHY???? Do they have to blast our ears with TEENAGE music during basketball games?

1 .  We have Cheerleaders
2.  We have the Pep Band
3.  We have a team that gives us reason to cheer.

Please...cut the blasting music so we can discuss game statistics and such
during time outs.

MUTE IT ALREADY?

Another question....are we going to post basketball under AUSTIN P for the whole season?


I'm really

happy with Coach and team this year cannot understand why some continue to
gripe.

Lol because it's a college basketball game. Players enjoy it so guess you gotta deal with it.... I'd much rather have them blasting music than hear the band.... Talk about annoying!

Pita,

You need some defenders and I am here for you.  Everything that you said is absolutely correct.  That music box is an abomination.  The idea of having a band sit in the end zone occasionally holding their instruments while that trash is blaring from that box is absolutely absurd.  Remember that these youngsters were raised without quality music.  They missed the eloquent music of your generation and certainly my sixties rock.  Instead, they were exposed to that trash called rap music.  Lacking any music appreciation, they equate loud sounds with pleasurable experiences.

Here is the deal, young ones.  Form a majority of the crowd with members of your generation and then you get to pick the "music."  As long as older fans constitute the strong majority of the crowd, we demand our band and not your junk.

I think some of the music choices are pretty bad, but this idea that we should stop playing music altogether is laughable. I love your love and passion for YSU Pita, but we are a Division 1 college. I've traveled to Akron, Kent, Robert Morris, and Duquesne in recent years to see YSU play. Do you think they MUTE their music? Absolutely not.

I think the band does and outstanding job and think the music is there to pump up the TEAM and FANS.

There is plenty of trash music out there now, but that is the way the cookie crumbles. Get used to it, it is not going to change.

JJ You and others are the ones that are ridiculous. Pita is saying two things that are needed & I agree:

1. Get the band involved (which I think that they have improved over the last 2 years).

2. Maybe play some music that suits the age of the fans.

Yes JJ, I guess the music of the 30's is better? I happen to like it myself ..AKA "Minny the Moocher". Also classic Rock of the 70's (as junk as most of it was) is very popular today. We do not need a thread on pop music of the various generations.

A third think might be the quality of the sound.
