Offense looks like crap again

Missou State up 35-21 with 3 minutes left, SDSU could go to 4-4

NDSU scored 21 unanswered to go up 21-0 with 5 min left in 3rd

Illinois State beat Indiana St 55-14

Offense does look like crap again. Wtf?

Hess was off today but Ruiz carried us literally to this victory. Bad weather, but a W is a W. and I'll take it. Now let's get rested up in the bye week and take care of business the rest of the way!!!! Btw SDSU losing again today.... Overrated a little too much?

We played like crap today. The only thing that save our azz is the special teams. Those two punts that pinned them back on the 1 ft line were outstanding!  Special teams gets the game ball because they won the game for us.

We had less than 50 yards passing for the game. You've got to be kidding me. How could our Senior QB regress like this?  The OL pass protection wasn't very good, but hess was thowing off his back foot. And he should know better at this point in his career. He aslo looked confused at times.

How many 3rd and long plays did we give up on defense? We looked pretty bad in pass defense at times. Why do we play this prevent defense?  I just dint get it.

That team kicked our azz up and down the field. We were fortunate to win the points stat.

Jeeze. It is like we didn't prepare well at all. We were luck they missed that chip shot FG. Lucky. Why can't Wolford's teams just continually improve?  Why can't we just consistently put someone away like last week?

11 first downs. 3 of them at half time. Wtf?

South Dakota stuns UNI 38-31 in 2OT.

SDSU and UNI are out of the MVFC title race! SDSU out of the playoff hunt.

Before today, South Dakota had failed to score more than 17 points in any game, although their defense was quite good.  After our performance today, at least now we will not take them lightly in two weeks.  So UNI goes from beating Iowa State and then almost beating NDSU on the road to 0-3 and last in the conference.  That was capped off by blowing a 28-7 lead to a previously anemic offensive team.  Could not happen to a finer group of fans.

As perturbed as we are by our showing today, how would you like to be a Villanova fan tonight?  According to the report from the Sports Network, they were tied at 21 with New Hampshire in the fourth quarter.  They then scored with 1:04 left in the game, only to yield a touchdown with 14 second left.  Then they allowed New Hampshire to run in the conversion.  Don't know if it was a fake or happened from a regular set.

So we should be feeling better than at least two FCS contenders this evening.  It just reminds us that there are worse things than an ugly win.

Hats off to the brave fans who attended the YSU-W.Illinois game in the windy, rainy weather. The game was like the weather UGLY!!

Kurt Hess was pathetic, but Martin Ruiz was spectacular!! I noticed W. Illinois got away with several holding calls which if called would of made our defense look a little better. Our defense still can't stop the 3rd down passing plays. We make every quarterback in the league look like great QBs.

The good side - what would we do without Ruiz? He looked great! So did Liste with his punts and kickoffs. Nate Adams made a great catch to seal the game.(the ball did touch the ground and should have been incomplete, but I will take it).

Well: A WIN is a WIN don't matter how ugly, I'll take it!

It may be an understatement but man it looked like a different offense today, but they did what they had to do and got the job done. The defense let them off the hook after two great punts around the 1, not happy with the 99 yard drive, buuuut they also got the job done. It is one thing to win when all cylinders are clicking but it is also very important to wins games like we did today.

Hess always sucks in the rain for some reason. Always plays bad. Wolf wanted to run and that's exactly what they did. Ugly but we will all take the W

Great!  We won, but we can not being missing tackles like we did today!  That will bite us big time against the better teams.

Held a team to 14 points. Although they beat us in the stats game, our defense made some big plays when they had to. Over the past three years, that was a game we would have lost. However, we persevered and found a way to win.

IAA Fan,

This is your site and, obviously, you can do whatever you please.  But I urge you to listen to Indy, one of our most respected posters, and remove the subject that has caused the deterioration of this forum.  Over the weekend, this kid has launched profanity-laced tirades against posters who had the audacity to correct his misinformation.  This must stop. >:(  I suppose that adult members can brush off these silly posts as comic relief, but no responsible parent will allow children to come here and deal with this type of language.  Applying a language filter is not the answer; removing the sole source of the problem is the answer.
