8-4 may not (probably won't) make it in.  Playoff field expanded by 4, but 2 more conferences now get auto-bids, making it only 2 more at-large invites for all of the FCS.

if you cant make it at 8-4 then you have scheduling issues playing too many weak OOC teams, which YSU does.

last year 12 teams made it with either 8-3 records or 4 losses. 8-4 is enough to get in

I don't like how we play on the DL. The QB we faced tonight was no good. I still don't like what I see, but maybe Tresey doesn't have his people because Wolford took too long to pull the trigger on Kravitz. But one game does not a good defense make.

I believe only the Pioneer gets a new automatic bid this year.  NEC had one last year (Wagner - who won their first round game).

Indy is correct.  When the playoff field went to 20 in 2010, they added 2 at-large berths, and they awarded the Big South and NEC auto-bids.  With the expansion to 24, the Pioneer was given an auto-bid, and the other 3 are at-large.
