Per Twitter reports YSU has offerred 6-1 guard CJ Jackson of Charlotte (NC) Olympia High School.

From various sources, Jackson had an excellent Best of The South (BOTS) tournament this month.

His father, Cleveland Jackson, played at Georgia and is now an assistant coach at Belmont Abbey.

2014 guard CJ Jackson, star of #BOTS, now has offers from Campbell, Jacksonville, MTSU, Winthrop, Wofford, & Youngstown St, per his father.

"In one of the more highly anticipated local matchups on Friday afternoon, the lesser-known Aim High took on the Nike-sponsored Georgia Stars with more than 40 college coaches taking in the action. The Stars jumped out to a 10-2 lead before sharpshooter Cleveland Jackson and do-it-all forward Eric Lockett led Aim High to a 25-point victory.

Jackson, who attends Olympic High School in North Carolina but is from Georgia, connected on six 3-pointers. Coming into the weekend, Jackson held no offers. With every 3-pointer he sank, college coaches watching the game grew more interested. High-level shooters are in high demand."

Jackson raising profile

Aim High 17U coach Doug Byrd would more than likely admit to you that he doesn't have the most talented travel team in Georgia. And that works for him. What his team lacks in talent it makes up for with being organized, and being unselfish. That was the recipe knocking off several higher-profile travel teams on its way to the Best of the South championship.

Leading the way all weekend for Aim High was Cleveland Jackson, a 6-foot-1 sharpshooter from Olympic High in Charlotte, N.C. In a semifinal matchup with the Georgia Stars, Jackson brought his A-game when his team needed it most by finishing with 27 points, including 4-for-4 from 3-point range in the second half, to advance to the championship game. Coming into the weekend, Jackson held no scholarship offers, but it's safe to say that he'll have some in the near future.

Jackson has received an offer from Georgia.

I am sure our coaches will remind him of the score of last year's game.
