Heacock/KSU article in Vindy
« on: November 03, 2012, 09:31:26 AM »
Does anyone else see any irony in the placement of the Heacock/Kent State article that was directly below the YSU game article on the sports page of today's (Nov 6) Vindy?

They really tightened up the second half. Had a couple of sacks as well.

Everyone knows my opinion of Jon Heacock,
that is those that pay attention to what I post.

A fine man.  A fine defensive Coach.  Has he not
proving that at Kent?

The only sad thing...Coach loved YSU, beyond what
alot of people could imagine.  Again, I have to add,
were he afforded $$$$$ for staff, etc.  We may have
yet another flag flying in the end zone.  But that's
life, mistakes are made everyday.

I congratulate his success at Kent...especially beating
the Zips yesterday.  The Zips are a thorn in my side
from many moons ago...but that is Basketball.  That
my friends is right around the corner.

I'm ashamed to say I was calling for JH's head  :'(  "IF" Hind sight was 20 - 20 I wonder "IF" YSU pumped the $$ into Jon's salary/coaching staff salary and the indoor facility where we'd be today?

Big Red...Hello
You asked the same question I think I was asking.

But then, bygones are bygones.

Will we see you at our last game? Our road warriors
are going to W. Illinois, we are not.  Hopefully we
will be at the last game...rain and cold could eliminate
our attendance.

Would Coach H have used the extra dollars to bring in a "real" OC/QB coach when he took over, or would he have just given it to Klacik?  That's the key to whether or not more dollars would have made his tenure more successfull.  They spent 02 and 03 playing multiple QB's, and still had to go with a redshirt freshman in 04.  Tom did a great job the next 3 seasons, but in 08 Heacock and Wright botched the Summers/Rowan deal helping lead to his ouster.  Coach H didn't need his buddy Klacik, he needed someone who could develop QBs.

Please please please let the whole Klacik thing rest!  There are still people talking about Gore vs Bush in 2000 too.  Most of you got what you wanted when Klacik left and the rest of you got what you wanted when Heacock was fired.  Now live with the results.
I HATE MIAMI.  WATERBOARDING IS NOT TORTURE.  ABORTION IS.

I missed a four-footer for par the other day--THAT DAMN BUSH!

:-X I'm still trying to get home for INDY ST. It will have to be a few days prior call. Good luck to the road warriors this weekend. WIU's usually a hostile visit  >:(. Thought about going to WIU but we have company coming down from Y-town to visit us this weekend.  I hope you and Ray are doing well.  :)

I was just expounding on the "what if" scenario that Bigred and Pita brought up.
