Andre Stubbs, Youngstown State

Stubbs had a solid all-around performance in the victory at Pittsburgh. In his first game since a season-ending injury in 2011, Stubbs rushed for 71 yards on six carries, caught four passes for 61 yards and had two kickoffs for 40 yards. He caught a 27-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and ran for a 13-yard score in the fourth. He finished with 172 all-purpose yards on the evening. The win against Pitt marked the league's first-ever victory against a Big East Conference foe.

DEFENSE
DB Garrett Scott, UNI
Sr., 6-0, 201, Davenport (Iowa) Bettendorf High
Scott helped the UNI Panthers keep the Wisconsin Badgers under 30 points for only the third time in the last year. He notched 15 tackles against the high powered Badger offense including six solo and nine assisted. He also had a key tackle for loss in the fourth quarter that forced the Badgers to punt the ball and grabbed one quarterback hurry.
SPECIAL TEAMS
P/PK Pat Smith, Western Illinois
Jr., 5-11, 185, Quincy (Ill.) Notre Dame High
Smith handled every special teams kicking duty in the win against Butler. His 3-for-3 FG performance versus Butler (29, 19, 29) matched his 2011 season field goal total (3-of-6, long 26). Smith was perfect on both extra points. He had three touchbacks on his six kickoff attempts (also matching his 2011 total). Smith averaged 43.7 yards on his three punts, including a personal-best 52 yarder on his first attempt. Smith also pinned Butler on its own 1-yard line prior to the Bulldogs' final drive of the game.
NEWCOMER
QB Sawyer Kollmorgen, UNI
Fr., 6-2, 215, Jenks (Okla.) High
Kollmorgen opened his freshman campaign against a strong Wisconsin defense and finished with 18-of-34 completed passes, 265 yards and three touchdowns. With the Panthers trailing 26-7 early in the fourth quarter, Kollmorgen led a comeback with two TD strikes to RB David Johnson to cut the lead to 26-21. Kollmorgen is the fifth freshman to start at quarterback in UNI history. Tom Petrie, Eric Sanders, Zach Davis and Jared Lanpher preceded him in past years.
