Should we not temper our enthusiasm....after tonights game beatdown (2 weeks in a row), by the Bearcats??

PITT....sucks.

A Great win by our kids last week.....but maybe, not that great a win.

Because it appears that PITT sucks.

still a D-1AA with at most 65 kids on scholarship playing a school with at least 20 more kids on scholarship and leading the whole 60 minutes including an 18 point lead at one point , when Pitt was favored by 17. 35 point diffrence at 1 point folks.

I think they may have been somewhat devastated for this game. Remember, Michigan got destroyed by an unranked Oregon team the week after Appy State before getting it to together.

Yes we should Pizza. I started a thread several days ago "...and now for the rest of the season." We had some issues last Saturday, and still won handily. However, we did win handily. We won by the same score as Cinci. We played like it was mid-season. There is a great deal to be proud of. A lot was also said of UNI vs Wisconsin ...but the truth is that they were handled very easily by WI. They just through some unexpected late-game heroics at the Badgers. All this being said, we are playing in the top conference at our level ...no one will argue after the week-1 we had. The MVFC garnered national attention with its results against FBS teams. YSU beat Pitt, 31-17, the MVFC's first-ever win against a member of the Big East Conference. UNI (26-21 loss at No. 12 Wisconsin); Indiana State (24-17 loss at Indiana); and South Dakota State (31-17 loss at Kansas); had narrow misses, while Missouri State was tied 9-9 with No. 21 Kansas State late in the game.

We did not "squeak bye" the Panthers. We were better in almost ever facet of the game ...they had better special teams coverage. Pitt's punter is highly-regarded & he was not better than List ...equal at best. We have two weeks to sure some things up. Yet even the announcers remarked how poised we were, for week-1. There should be this type of fan excitement and enthusiasm every week

I watched the Pitt-Cincy game last night on ESPN. Yes, Pitt was inept on offense, but the officiating was also totally inept. Pitt scored on a nice short run by Graham which at the time would have made the score 14-7. An official called holding on #54 of Pitt. The unofficial replay showed no evidence of holding and the ESPN announcers stated that should have been a no call.

Another crucial missed call was on Cincy' 2nd drive and score when holding should been called on an end around run.

Yes, Pitt is struggling, but YSU played them well and its still a great win for the Penguin program.
