About Wright State
The eighth-place Raiders have won two of the past three games with improved offense, scoring 70 points against Wisconsin-Milwaukee and 76 points on Saturday in a BracketBusters game against Missouri-Kansas City. Against the Kangaroos on Saturday, WSU got 25 points from Mays and shot 57.8 percent, earning its first road win of the calendar year. Three others — Johann Mpondo (14), Cole Darling (11) and Kendall Griffin (11) — also scored in double figures. The Raiders rank No. 33 nationally in scoring defense, allowing 60.7 points per game, but they average just 58.5 points per game.
About Youngstown St.
The Penguins are best from long range, ranking 11th nationally in 3-pointers made per game (8. and 34th in 3-point percentage (38.2). Each of the Youngstown starters averages at least 29.6 minutes, and the top reserve scorer, Nate Perry, averages 2.5 points. Kendrick Perry leads the league in scoring and assist/turnover ratio and ranks second in steals (2.4) and fourth in assists (3.9). The Penguins are tied for fifth place in the league with Milwaukee and have lost consecutive games against Green Bay and Austin Peay. They are 8-3 at home.

YSU wins 61-54.

A 14-0 run early in the second  half gives YSU a double digit lead and they repel several Raider runs.  Wright State had the ball down 4 for at least three straight possessions in the final 3 minutes but could not connect.

Then, to quote the great Bill Raftrey, Kendrick Perry - ONIONS!

A tough shot in the lane with the clock running down then a couple of free throws built the lead back up to 7.

KP had 23 points on 8 of 11 from the field, 5 of 7 from the line.  5 assists, 3 steals, a blocked shot and 2 rebounds.

Blake Allen had 17 points.

Damian Eargle had 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and set Horizon League single season records for blocks in all games and blocks in league games. 

YSU held their own on the boards, Wright State had a 39-35 advantage.

Home game clinched, now time to work on the best seed.

It was an ok win, we shoulda killed this team. Can't rebound as always. KP is by far the best player on the team and in the league, he can score from all over and defend well and has hops like no other!
