Why not?
« on: December 02, 2011, 11:20:11 PM »
In the mid-major world I am suggesting a challenge between Mid-Major conferences instead of the silly bracket buster game late in the season.  How about a challenge between the Horizon League and the MAC, or the Missouri Valley, or the Atlantic 10 or any other conference.  Could present to the nation some interesting TV match-ups. How about the interest and excitement plus a chance to find out where you stand in the Mid-Major world early.  Might be a money maker and from a rating point of view be very instrumental in getting an at large bid to the dance.

I only think the average fan (TV) has interest when a M&M team separates themselves from the rest:

1. An upset over a power school.
2. They become a Gonzaga, George Mason, or a Butler.

I think another issue with lack of TV is because there are no longer local television feeds.
