Bell, Lum, Mitchell Named Payton Finalists
Shakir Bell of Indiana State, Chris Lum of Lehigh and Bo Levi Mitchell of Eastern Washington are the finalists for the Walter Payton Award ... winner is announced on Jan. 6 in Frisco

Cook finished 19th out of 20 for the Payton   :-\  There was two write in votes for a total of 22 candidates for this prestigious award  :o

They screwed up and did not get Levi last year ...it won't happen again. They are really trying to go after pro-prospects now. Of course, Levi deserves the award, I just do not like it going to players that dropped down.
