Record Setting Game
« on: September 11, 2011, 10:11:55 AM »
Among the school records set were most points in a game, most points in a quarter - 35 in the first - and total yards - 657. Josh Lee set an individual record with a 96-yard punt return for a touchdown early in the first quarter. The Guins also set a school mark with 34 first downs.

The offense scored touchdowns on 11 of its first 12 possessions, and the scoreless one came with a kneel down to end the first half. Five different Penguins rushed for touchdowns, and two more were on the receiving end of scoring tosses from sophomore quarterback Kurt Hess. Tailbacks Adaris Bellamy, Jamaine Cook and Jordan Thompson all had two rushing scores, and Torrian Pace and Parnell Taylor had one  apiece, the first in their YSU careers. Andre Barboza and David Rogers had receiving touchdowns early in the second quarter.
