Looking forward to a great season from Kendrick

Great catch Dave:

How often to you see a missed dunk getting a replay? That is just how good this looked. All I have to say is ...if that dunk would have went down, the would still be showing the highlight. It is almost exactly at the 3 minutes or so mark into the highlight. This video has a replay in slow-motion: Perry is #3 by the way ...the one wearing a white "T":

ELPENGUIN:
We took the opportunity to ride down and catch the action.  We were impressed with the quality of play and with how our YSU basketball players performed.DuShawn Brooks and Blake Allen put on a show with the team "SPK Law".  They won easily and the team is in the semi-finals.  Both players were hitting shots, Brooks driving into the basket and Allen hitting outside 3 pointers. Nate Perry ran the team  "UPMC" from point and his distribution was good.  When left alone he hit his points.  Josh Chojnacki saw limited action but did hit some long shots.  He has excellent range.

Playing for team "Lair" were Ashen Ward, Cale Zuiler, and Fletcher Larson. Ashen was his usual steady playing self. He was able to get numerous rebounds and played very good defense.  Larson looked very confident on the court and he was banging hard on the boards and taking no prisoners. First year player Zuiler was taller than we expected and he maybe just what our team needs.  I hope he can play more than expected as a freshman.

This was the first year some of our YSU team was invited to play in this Pro-Am event.  I hope we are invited back as the talent included players form Robert Morris, Pitt, Akron, Davidson, Nebraska, Eastern Kentucky, Duquesne, Utah, Assumption, Cornell,Edinboro, Gannon, West Virginia, Mt. Union and Marshall.

Tuesday evening the semi-rinals will be played at 7 and 8 PM.  On these 2 semi-final teams we have Sean Amiker playing for team "PGT Trucking". For team "PBC" Damien Eargle and Kendrick Perry play.  A lot of buzz about our players especially Kendrick since this team has only lost once and are favored to reach the finals.

I am an optimist and think we may have a better basketball team than expected.

EL - I continue to hold out hope that one of these years is our year.

Of course I am an Indians and Browns fan - I have no choice but to be optomistic
