U Mass to FBS, will join MAC for football only

I thought to get into the MAC you had to participate in all sports.

Wow, they will be playing their "home" games in Foxboro! That is like 95 miles and better part of a 2 hour drive, yea yea their stadium is not big enough yet, but really?

IAA Fan:
I tell you what. If they lose both Nova and UMass ...conference strength does become more of an issue for the CAA. They will lose GAst as soon as they become eligible for CUSA. Until then, they do not count in schedule strength anyway.
