We have 5 days to prepare for Syracuse but we are playing in  dome which is not good for shooting.  If we get blown out again Saturday then I think we are going to be in trouble this season. Time will tell.   Too early but we are definitely not a good shooting team.  Not good offensively.

In two games YSU is 8 of 41 from three which is 19.5%.  Is it too early to worry about or is it just early season jitters?  Need 3 point shooting and not sure we have recruited that type of player that Oakland had last season and they had two guys that lit it up last year from 3 and it seems they always have a guy that hit them.

Was hoping YSU would put up a fight last night after their 20 point win in the opener and maybe OSU is that good. Let's be honest every player on our roster with an exception or two would be deep backups at OSU.

Too early to get a feel on how good the Penguins will be this year and going to Syracuse Saturday is going to be tough.  Thought Chris Carroll looked decent last night but need to have Farmer and Jason Nelson hitting shots.  Nico will be good going against Horizon league talent and not the size of a big 10 team.  Same with Harper who should have some big nights this season.

Hard to get a read on Kirkland and Wilkerson although Kirkland has played hard in his few minutes off the bench.  Siem Uijtendaal has struggled in both game and my expectations was that he would be a key player. Maxey like the rest struggled last night after sparking YSU against Chicago State.

I think we'll get a good understanding of this team when they play their three up coming games in Texas against similar mid-major opponents.

I know it is still too early to judge this team. Unfortunately, after watching the last two games, I observed two trends…..1. Not a good 3 point shooting team…2. Cannot run screen to setup open 3 point shots.
However, the team is good in hustling for loose balls.

I'm not expecting to beat OSU (or Michigan last year) - though it can happen -  but I expect to be competitive.  I'm very disappointed.  I think the team we had 2 years ago would have been very competitive.
