Wright state game

DC SHOW

Dmorton:
Defense has to improve!

ucfpengbuck:
Thought the perimeter defense was good but I can't understand the post defense.   Wright State bigs are catching the ball deep inside and making 2 footers.   Our bigs are playing behind them and I haven't seen any fronting or double teams.

Glad Trey Calvin didn't get going although Mcbride stayed in front of him.

Previous seasons we would be lucky to get a split at NKU/WSU and now expectations are for a sweep.

Really liked the lineup late in the game with the 2 bigs,Cohill,Mcbride and Rush.

YsuPride:
Yes defense is too soft inside.  Lack of pressure from guards that are feeding the big men the ball.   Not enough rotation.

mudclods:
Just an unbelievable performance by DC.  He singlehandedly won YSU that game in the 2nd half.  I didn't like the direction it was going there for awhile.  Too many turnovers in the first half and too many easy baskets for Wright St.  Also seemed like Wright St. was controlling the boards and getting the 50-50 balls.

Pretty impressive to hit 20-22 from the FT line, which didn't allow Wright St. to get any closer in the closing mins.  YSU is now shooting nearly 77% from the FT line this year and their 3-PT % is over 37%.  Cohill is at 87% from the FT line and 61% from 3!

Green had another solid game and McBride was solid off the bench.   Have to wonder if McBride will be starting again soon.

I was surprised Irwin got into the game and got that much PT.

Convington seems to be struggling to get back to where he was before his injury and commits a lot of fouls as well.

I'll take the split on the road but a shame they couldn't close out the NKU game.
