I think that if we move Crenshaw to TB he is gone.  I hope not but he can go to a good FBS program to play TB.  He is here to play QB.  Hopefully the coaching staff can work out the issues with his passing.

Watch his footwork in this tape.  He is so bad, you need to start over from scratch.  Kid has great talent as a runner, maybe Sunday talent.  If he HAS to play QB, maybe he can try Slippery Rock?  We has a run only QB here a few years ago that couldn't throw, and he ended up with all league honors at "The Rock"

There are days through the lock down, etc. I kind of miss palidan.  Maybe he's cleaned up his negativity and we should give him another shot? NOT!!!

Only 2 games on the schedule with teams east of the Mississippi, really hurts the interest.

I have a 3 letter answer to this problem. (which exists most years)  OVC.

My first choice most likely will never happen so either the OVC or the CAA would be a much better choice, interest wise, then where we are now.

Both the OVC and the CAA have odd number of teams so we could balance somebody else.
It just seems to me that at the Dakota and west travel doesn't make good for rivalries and the one sport deal really sucks.  We apparently want to be part of the #1 1AA football conference, but as a bottom dweller in the conference.  IMO, saying "we were beaten by the best", isn't much of a claim to fame!

For the record my thoughts have nothing to do with the strength of our league, our goal should always be to win the league we are in and run the table to win the NC. Early on the teams in our league were ok but with the western movement that has occurred my interest has waned.

We find ourselves members of this football-only FCS league primarily because the gutless NCAA did not have the courage to enforce their own rules. On paper the requirement for FBS membership is an average of 15,000 fans, butts in seats, at your games. Proper enforcement would have relegated all the Ohio MAC schools, except Toledo, to FCS status.  But no. The NCAA allowed nonentities like Akron first to lie about attendance and then actually have that university "buy" tickets to their own freakin' games and count that farce.  We should be members of an Ohio-dominant FCS all-sports MAC conference.

As far as the MVFC, the problem with expansion to the west, in addition to obvious geographic distance, is the fact that it forces members to compete with the primary state institutions in North Dakota and South Dakota.  Those two schools have unlimited resources compared to the members of the old Gateway conference.  In fact, a school like Western Illinois is actually struggling to keep their doors open.

Good post, I agree with all of it!
