Pelini did irreparable harm to the program. Set it back years. A miserable, failed experiment involving a miserable man who was an embarra$$ment to the program, the university and the City of Youngstown.  Whomever thought that it was a good idea to bring him aboard (and keep him) should be ashamed. What an unmitigated disaster.

Certainly, as it turns out,  his hire was a bad one, but hindsight is always 20/20. His only run was mostly with another guys players.

Wonder how life would have been if JH was still here.

Give it a rest with the Heacock stuff. Guy is a good DC but a below average HC. Got the keys of a Ferrari handed to him and gave us 1 playoff appearance in 9 years....

Heacock 0-9 against Northern Iowa, come on, he had to go.

The Football program is stuck in neutral and at times in reverse.  The task of turning the program around is monumental.  It is discouraging that being in the play-offs was taken for granted.  Now it seems we will never get there.

It would be foolish to judge Phillips by the won-lost record this spring.  I am looking for the answers to these two questions. Will the team play hard for four quarters, regardless of the score? And will the team that walks off the field in Missouri be better than the team that walks on the field in North Dakota? We would already know these answers if Pelini were still the coach.

Do not read so much into my comments about JH, he had his moment and I  was ready for him to go.

Look I think RS and JT had no choice and would have been fools not to hire Bo. Every other coach (less Heacock, until it was too late) was given a chance to put his own mark on the program, in all 3 phases of the game. We did an outstanding job of keeping Bo contained and/or under wraps. He had some success and was rewarded with a bigger job. Be happy, we could be spending time talking about what his mouth did to the program, instead of his skill-set. I mean honestly, what other program would pull in such a name? In short, the hire and run to the final has kept YSU football relevant. If nothing else, Phillips knows the expectations.

All do respect it was Eric Wolfords recruits that Bo took us to the title game with.  Having said that,  Bo was brought in because Eric didn't get us over the hump, if you will.

As I said before, if our #8 had not dropped the interception (right in his hands) at the end of the conference game, YSU would have gone to playoff. Bo would not have been here.
No wonder Bo took him to LSU with him and destroyed the quality of the LSU defense in the process.

Bo's defense was perfect against Bama.  they scored every time they had the ball in the 1st half.  two times it only took one minute seventeen seconds.
Bo and his side kick will soon be coaching at Mooney.

LSU HC said Bo’s defensive scheme was too complex and he wanted that to be simplified. Apparently, it didn’t work.
Well, if it was too complex for YSU and LSU, it probably would not work for Mooney.
He might have take it to the NFL, lol.

The Browns just scored 38 points on Tennessee in the first half. Did Bo join the titans early?

Mark Pelini was nothing more than a huge embarrassment to YSU and himself.

Would think that LSU is already working on a buyout plan and he will spend next year back in Y-town. Hey is akron looking for a coach?

Guinpen, that made me chuckle. I wouldn't wish that on Akron.
