I just saw that on twitter.  I'm disappointed since I thought he had a huge role going into next season.  That position has depth with Garrett Covington and Tyler Foster.   Jelani sort of had a Sophomore slump and didn't make the jump that I thought he would based on his freshmen season.   Love his length and his out side shot.

I was afraid Jelani would transfer but hoped since he would most likely move into the starting role for the next 2 years he'd stay.  He definitely had a disappointing season.  I was really excited about him during his freshman year, but his numbers were down this year.  He started 22 games last year compared to 10 this year.  He averaged 8.1 last year to 5.4 this year.  His FG% went from 45.5 to 37.4.  His 3PT% went from 40.2 to 32.5.

I may have heard he was fighting an injury late in the year but he didn't score a point in the last 4 games and 5 of the last 7.  Oddly too he only shot the ball 6 times in those 5 scoreless games.  Outside of his big games against CSU where he scored 19 & 23, he only had 3 other games in double figures...all with 12 points.  Just seemed to be a strange dynamic with him this year.

Alex Vargo has committed and has taken the scholarship left by Jelani.

6-6 shooter from Wheeling Park. Scored 53 in a game this year

Oakland also offered.
